Yet, from a pricing stance it sits perfectly inbetween the iPod Touch's SKUs.
Sony won't force you to sell your existing PSP or your existing UMDs should you decide to upgrade. They won't be "lost", they'll just continue to only work with your current system. Which is exactly the state they're in right now.
I wouldn't really call it a shame. Put yourself outside of your expecations and it's still a fantastic game.
The article was actually fairly unbiased. He represents the merits of the three systems and left it up to the reader to decide which suited them the most.
A move like this would essentially kill the industry as we know it. Microsoft could afford to do it but it would be a pretty outrageous move. It would be a MASSIVE bill for the company to have to swallow, but if it did get approved it would result in mega job loss, which the government wouldn't take kindly right now.
You also have the addition of Microsoft either directly funding Playstation/Nintendo development or losing like 70-80% of the companies return revenue. Then you have...
@bishop -- just in case you're still curious or whatever, here's how we score taken from our review policy:
What do our scores mean?
Review 1 Square - Poor
1 Square – generally a game that scores just 1 square will have a number of gameplay breaking flaws. Any game that scores this should probably be avoided or at the very least handled with extreme caution.
Review 2 Squares - Average
2 Squares – generally a game that scores 2 s...
I'm not sure. WAV would be best if you want to mix them into other tracks because the format is lossless. With 16GB of flash memory on the PSP Go it shouldn't be a problem file size wise either.
You can export the WAVs I believe yes. It's imperative you can really because I'll want to bring stuff into Cubase and Reason.
People say that a lot but to us it just makes more sense -- on a five point scale you have: very bad, bad, ok, good, very good; to us if a game is "bad" you don't really need to distinguish it as "very bad" -- so we removed the complication by having just four points: bad, ok, good, very good. We think it's more to-the-point that way, which has been our philosophy from the start.
You can read our reviews policy on the "About" page if you need to know...
Finally. Someone speaks sense on this matter.
Ps2 backwards compatibility would please owners no doubt. It would entice maybe a few people towards the system. But it's not as big deal as people make it out to be.
2500000 units sold / 12500 units broken = 0.005%.
Your point?
Well they kinda force your hand where the previous title was absolutely amazing and the follow up looks even better.
I swear I read somewhere that particular game is going to be at TGS. We'll have to wait and see.
Don't give them the hits folks.
Haha, yes. I agree.
I actually think that would be a really smart idea, y'know. If they could push that out for maybe $349 at the holidays (a stretch I know) I think it would do well for them.
We have to assume that Sony have cut the cost it takes to produce a PS3 Slim. I'd like to think for their sake that they are making a small profit with the Slim, or at the very least breaking even.
Totally, of course that's your perogative. Some people might be interested in picking up the new PS3 Slim because of the aesthetics, furthered warrantly, smaller size and lesser power consumption.
It's certainly not neccessary by any means, but some might be interested in doing it.
I agree with your points. But it's a good early indicator that people are interested in the Slim.
Sadly I think you hit the nail on the head. Which is a shame. I can understand why people might be upset they can't afford it, but there's no need to trash it as a product. It's very good.
