But the now tiresome "fanboy" response means anyone can discredit it immediately.

... Not long to go now. :)

Yeah, so long as they use the time wisely to make the game better, there's plenty of action games in 2009. One such Uncharted 2 springs to mind; not to mention Assassins.

But to be fair, plastic guitars aren't as good as real guitars.

This game appeals to me much more than Guitar Hero. I assume it'll have music much more to my taste.

Risque. ;)

No that's not intentional - it's just we're a Playstation only site, so, we're just building up the Playstation games we're interested in - Bayonetta happens to be one.

We try to talk about the XBOX 360 as little as possible. But just to clarify to anyone wondering - Bayonetta is indeed a multiplatform game.

It's not inherently a platformer no. But there are elements of the platform formula in there. Hence why it brought back strong memories to the author.

I totally disagree. How can a game with multiple track routes be repetitive. By nature racing games are all about learning tracks and their corners - so in a sense they are "repetitive" - but if any racing game breaks those barriers it's Motorstorm, simply because of the changing landscape, multiple routes and the fact that different routes are advantageous or hindering for different car types.

Essentially Motorstorm rewards exploration as well as strategic boosting and...

I think Pacific Rift is an excellent game -- and like the Wipeout's of the PSX era, I think it's very indicative of the Playstation experience, regardless of your opinion on their quality.

It's fast, it's ruthless and it's a little bit crazy.

Do it now, get RagDoll Kung Fu for free! Even though I don't rate it much.

An Oakenfold track or two would be pretty neat.

Sony are great with things like that. It's a shame the rest of the industry doesn't take note -- sure they're in last place right now, but they've funded some genuinely original games that I just don't believe would exist on competitor's systems.

That's a brilliant thing to read. You don't happen to have the link do you. Appreciated if you can find it.

Well it looks (from the little I've seen) similar to Fahrenheit; but yes I know exactly what you mean. Quantic Dream seem very taken with the idea of changing the traditional adventure game.

It doesn't pan around at all. It's fixed in a really good position. It only moves to zoom in on some "Special" event. Other than that, the only thing that minorly obscures the view are the PSN id's in multiplayer.

Glad to hear other people enjoying it too.

So it's Eye Toy then?

@ DaTruth - to clarify, this is not the demo. It's a version of the game SCEE sent us entitled "inFamous Taster April 2009".

We're not entirely sure whether this is final build or not, but it is certainly preview code and not the final review code.

Hope this helps.

What the headline should read is "Wii demolished PS3/360 in April" -- that wouldn't pull as many hits though eh?

I'd argue that if anything deserves criticism this generation, RROD is one such thing.
