Great game deserves great sales! Although, I'm almost positive if there's a sequel, we're gonna see Sony publishing it instead of Atlus. I can online imagine they're kicking themselves in the butt for passing up a quarter million in unit sales!
Can't wait. I loved Eden, expect the same from this :P What a way to close out a great year of gaming for PS3 fans!
It would be cool if the sequel had different super powers and then you could go online with your customized super hero and fight or do missions or w/e.
Also, Demon's Souls-style multiplayer could be cool too
The point is, the Wii is still selling like gangbusters and people aren't hopping on the HD bandwagon like some thought they would with the lower prices of the HD consoles.
Ideally, that would be the way it goes. But since there is an infinite amount of 'shelf space' online, distributors never have to have sales to clear out inventory and make room for new stuff. If a company is money hungry, they could leave it full price forever.
The publisher decides the prices, so the devs don't really have a say in the matter. Besides that, I also think that most devs are level headed enough to know whether or not they are working on something that will have a lot of mass appeal.
Yea, I always thought publishers should be experimenting more with their pricing. Not every game needs(or should) be selling at $60. Smaller games like Brutal Legend would have done waaaaaaaaaay better at $50 or even $40.
It's also a really Massachusetts thing to do.
Is it bad I'm more interested in this than FF13? I think I'm just sick of waiting for FF13. This game has like a 6 month turn around and still looks fresh every time I see it.
Yeah, anyone that expected Ratchet to do huge numbers is nuts. The game has big international appeal, and will do a million easy by the end of it's life time. These games sell HUGE once they hit the greatest hits section.
I always thought all those Twisted Metal 'leaks' he did were fake and done as a joke/misdirection. Would love to see Jaffe do an action game, in the same vein of God of War, and with some online stuff.

As much as I'd love to see the PS3 on top again, the Wii price cut + Wii Fit+ are a killer 1-2 punch. Uncharted 2 is sick, but it does nothing for Soccer Sally or Grocery Getting Granny.

I guess what really matters is what he meant in 'rival'. In terms of quality, no doubt BC2 will be up to snuff with MW2. In terms of sales, that's another matter entirely...
That would be awesome if they went a new direction with these games. Call of Duty and Medal of Honor were iconic WW2 franchises, COD went a new way and took off. MOH should take note.
Who didn't see this one coming? I knew once they announced the PS3 motion wand we'd be seeing all sorts of Wii ports.
