Game came out nothing short of amazing, so it was all worth it! This game is still up there for me, don't know which will be my GOTY, inFamous or Uncharted 2:\
Nice, thank God Hayter is back! I was worried they'd have Robert Doyle do it, especially since Hayter is so busy with his Hollywood work now. Doyle is a great VA, don't get me wrong, it's just Hayter IS Snake lol
Great concept, poor execution. If Home would have launched like it is now, the whole thing could have taken off much quicker.
I had entirely way too much fun doing that.
Looking forward to seeing what else Naughty Dog could cook up. I'd love to see them do something radically different. They're so good at developing characters, it would be cool to see them do like a Mass Effect RPG type game
It's like I said, if they did it specifically only for when you had split screen, I'm sure the majority of us wouldn't care. Also, that's what they've done for generations prior to this, not sure why it's a big deal now, unless we all truly are graphic whores.
It's true in a lot of ways. I liked Resistance's approach - reduce the graphics in multiplayer to allow local split screen and a bajillion online players.
Pretty much, hahaha!
Better late than never! For a while I thought the PS4 would hit before this came to PSN
IMO this is something more developers should do. That way people like Valve don't get thrown into a fire when companies like EA mess up their ports.
D'oh! They need Todd and Seth to combine forces for the ultimate creation!
Gotta say, when I first heard of a baseball player in charge of a game studio, I was skeptical. Still, with Seth McFarlane, Salvatore, and the creators of Everquest and Oblivion on board, my interest has definitely been piqued...
Exclusivity generates hype, though. Look at all Microsoft's highly hyped 'exclusives' that end up as timed exclusives.
Day 1 purchase for me if it comes out in the US. I already have my character drawn out in paint :P
I don't think multiplayer is a necessity, but the Ratchet multi in some of the other games kicked ass. Yes, they're well worth the money on their own merit, but multiplayer would still be a great addition.
Agreed... makes you wonder if Insomniac will go looking for another publisher if they keep getting the red headed step child treatment.
Hahaha, it's funny, for any game 1.5 million copies at launch would be amazing, but for Final Fantasy it actually marks a regression. Can't wait for it to hit the US.
Will be interesting to see how it holds up over the next few weeks, with the Wii price drop and Wii Fit+
Universal release in 2010, hopefully. This game is going to be amazing, GOTY whenever it does come.
Dude, the story is about to take a turn for the waaaaaaaaaay better. I too thought the exact same thing as you. The game did have some serious pacing issues, but once you hit the later half of the second island and then the 3rd island, you get HOOKED.
Seriously, one the later events forces you to make such a huge moral decision. It's one of those moments where I literally paused the game and thought to myself "What the hell am I gonna do...?"
