There's so little discussion about this game, it's rather astounding. The original was at least loved as a cult classic type of game. Shows how misguided DICE have become.
And people defend all these terrible practices. At least a delay isn't that bad. But the rest? Inexcusable. "Gamers" have grown to be quite the pathetic bunch of consumers.
Content wise the cancelled game already looks better. Same with gameplay. Sound both are similar. The only thing DIce has on even the 10 year old game is graphical quality.
That's not very good.
@RegorL
Are you kidding? The multiple classes. The multiple teams ranging from CLones to Empire, to Rebels to CIS. There were also native classes like Gungans you can play as. They showcase several levels that allow you to ceamlessly go fro...
@ShadowWolf712
I doubt Valve actually "agreed" to publish it. The greenlight program allows almost any game through nowadays.
Things don't work how you think they work. As long as you are using the property of another persons they can do something legally. On the other hand, your country of origin can protect you.
I can't find any information about where these people are located. So I'm going to assume they're located in Russia. And that means Disney is going to have a difficult time doing anything to them.
There's nothing good about this article. He explains everything in two sentences and does not go any deeper. I've seen children write lengthier criticisms.
Battlefield is the same stupid broken game each year also. Hardline was complete garbage and should have been a 30 dollar expansion. Battlefield 3 was broken for several months (when we played the beta nothing was changed into the full release, and most of us hated the focus on close quarters combat, it took them a long time just to introduce some proper maps), and so was Battlefield 4. And then Dice released a Battlefront game which is WORSE than its 10 year old prequels. Bad Company 2 was t...
Battlefield 1? That game is on the same trash level as Call of Duty.
Bank chargeback.
It's interesting all the dislikes that latest COD video got. I've immensely disliked the COD series after 4, but at least Activision are only interested in ruining their own series. As far as I'm aware they don't buy up studios and kill them off (Rip Sim City and the 10 other developers they killed), or release shitty, watered down versions of a series just to make some money on name and hype alone (Battlefront).
They ditched the kickstarter and found a publisher. If it was heavily "influenced" by PT, the publisher probably realized the game wouldn't be all that great. Even Silent Hills was going to be nothing like PT, a half hour literal hallway horror game.
This is what happens when you try to market a game on hype alone. A ripoff of an unreleased/cancelled game/concept. Who would have guessed.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if this is just a preliminary step to try and get paid mods rolling again. Well, at least on consoles because PC players aint havin none of that.
No, I would say that's not oversimplying it at all. Because that's all I've experienced of Overwatch. Same exact game modes and gameplay as Team Fortress 2, albeit with LESS content than TF2. There is a heavy focus on loot crates and purchasing keys to unlock them. There is also a heavy focus on skins (aka hats). And rather than using a small number of classes, they've thrown in 20 some classes that are all balanced terribly. I don't think I've ever seen a game that g...
I don't believe it's a remaster. Pachinko machines just have scripted cut scenes typically. You win and you see a next cut scene. You lose and you lose. In this case they probably had some animation studio model these cutscenes for their new machine.
Overwatch is a ripoff of hat simulator (team fortress 2) meets loot crate simulator (CSGO) meets moba-trash (heroes). I don't understand how it has changed this person's views on first person shooters when it's nothing but elements of other games combined.
Welcome to the world of mods. Also welcome to the world of zero quality control by Bethesda. Enjoy the ride.
Generally, yes, they are.
Look at what modders are able to do with a game from 2010 still.

Don't worry, the playbox will be out in July.
