Well you've certainly proved you can type out a list of games. It's a shame it proves nothing more.
Perhaps a reason why those games better allowed the player to project himself onto the character would've helped?
So you've got nothing? Just as I figured. You're going to have to do better than taking a weak shot at me and my gaming experience and avoiding the direct discussion to appear cerebral.
You say there are tons of games that do it better, yet fail to cite even one example.
Well played sir, I know when I am bested.

Are we the only ones with a sense of humor in this thread? Apparently, the folks who disagreed with your FABULOUS post up above didn't get the same chuckle out of it I did.
'Here we have a man who can't forge a lasting, meaningful relationship with a woman and acts like a dick most of the time.'
And this my friends, is the pure genius of Naughty Dog and Amy Hennig's writing. To have a character as deep as Drake, and yet allow each individual player to project himself onto the character, as Jim Sterling has done here, is nothing short of sheer brilliance!

That's not what they said. From your link:
"The total cost to Microsoft for "Halo 3": a little more than $60 million. Development costs will probably be just above $30 million, given an elite team of 300 full-time artists and programmers working for three years on the game at Bungie, the internal Microsoft studio that created the games, said Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities. Bonuses to key developers an...
Aesop's "The Fox and the Grapes" comes to mind.

Yeah, msxbox-world.com is such a Sony fanboy site. Not to mention, look at the author's credentials:

This poser obviously never touched a 360 controller.
Are the people hyping the game the true retards or could it be those buying into the hype?
'This game could be great but you could ruin it by making it out to be something that it is not.'
Right, because all people take the words of anonymous internet forum posters as the undisputed truth.
Wouldn't you have to formulate some sort of opinion just to buy/rent a game to be able to 'actually play it'?
Silly me, I thought opinion pieces were intended to welcome and spark debate. Maybe to bring to light some nuances or perspectives heretofore unconsidered, through said debate, and possibly sway one's opinion (you know the whole convince thing). Otherwise what's the point other than, well, enjoying the sound of your own voice.
Gaming journalism becomes more an oxymoron with each passing day.
So you just like hearing yourself talk?

Regardless of what you think defines a generation, and Vaistrat is right by the way, hence the Wii outselling the PS3 and 360 this gen, explain to me how it is not a new gen for Nintendo.
Ignorant at best is right.
From the article: 'Combine all this with rumor that Nintendo and Microsoft aren't even looking towards a new generation'
So wait, this article is posted yesterday, nearly 6 months after the announcement of the Wii U, and the speculation of it being more powerful than the PS3 and 360, but Nintendo is not looking towards a new gen?
Why doesn't it matter? Why not look at average PC gamer experience vs average console gamer experience? Would that make you feel worse?
Q:When exactly is cash flow and profit irrelevant?
A:When it no longer supports your bias.
Checkmate!
How exactly would they track that? Put a survey card in each retail hard copy?
Check here if you pirated this game prior to purchase...
Why should people who sell digital property be expected to operate under a different set of rules than people who sell tangible property? Is it their fault you haven't figured out a way to duplicate an edible apple yet?
