Does FarCry2 count as a full game?
@ Silent
Any business looks at the buying habits of its customer base (and some companies spend millions doing so) and align their products with said habits. They cater to the market. There also needs to be a significant rewards to risk ratio when a new IP is considered.
So now it's the chicken or the egg thing. Do we mainly buy sequels because that's what's offered for sale, or are sequels mainly offered for sale because that's what we buy...
You make it sound like you bought a fat PS3 and Sony flipped a switch and killed your BC. They removed the PS2 chips and dropped the price. If you paid for BC you still have it, if you didn't, you don't, never did.
You play as Kara. Your self-awareness becomes revealed. Everyone is after you...governments, militaries, scientists, mercenaries, etc. You are forced to run. Do you run away, or towards a group that you feel is benevolent? Can you trust anyone?
I was going to say there was enough there to make a decent if somewhat cliched plot, but the more I think about it the more it seems like something QD could twist like their other games.
To each their own.
Unlike the Unreal Engine he performs well across all platforms.
Guess we've finally come to the point that it has become cliche to label something cliche.
No Hot Coffee?
Well it could mean Sony > MS and Nintendo > MS and the equation Sony + Nintendo > MS would still be true.
So, yeah transitivity would apply.
Has Capcom released a RE game this gen that has meta'd as high as any ND release this gen? Or won multiple GotY year awards? Like UC2 nearly swept the AIAS?
Wanna bet TLoU rates higher than RE6?
How? Has Nvidia found a way to allow us to play console exclusives on a PC?
'Umm hello, L.A. Noire.'
Was LA Noire truly open world? The desk promotions and case assignments were all linear. The random street crimes didn't make it open world. Maybe the ability to choose which lead you followed next? On the 360 did that lead to a lot of disc swapping?
The ability to drive anywhere you wanted is probably the closest thing to open world I remember.
'Mass Effect should have garnered better competing numbers with the ps3's install base.'
Based on what? Your conjecture? That just thinking that allows you to feel the 360's superiority? Yeah, I got that one from the 'closing the gap' part.
If you have a similar case to cite as an example, or a bit of market research I'd love to see it. Hell, I'd even be willing to listen to a little logic based on the market. So far you...
'Apparently disc swapping isn't a big thing. 4:1 Mass Effect 3 sales tell a different story.'
LMFAO. Really? Here I was thinking that the first ME not appearing on the PS3 and ME2 releasing a year later on the PS3 would have been infinitely more relevant to the sales figures.
Thanks for clearing that up for us.
'If it's finished content it should be in the finished product.'
'IF THE CONTENT IS COMPLETE AND ON THE DISC IT SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE WITHIN THE PURCHASING PRICE'
Two completely different statements. I agree with your re-wording, the first reeks of the sentiment expressed here over the 'From Ashes' DLC.
And if the core gaming experience of SFxTekken isn't worth $60.00, all the DLC in the world, free or paid, is...
'If it's finished content it should be in the finished product.'
I disagree,I pay for my own games, am a real gamer and have been longer than most on this site, and am no corporate shill.
Why do I disagree? Purchasing a game does not entitle you to experience every idea the developer had during the development cycle. My purchase of a game is based on my determination of the value of what's included, not what I arbitrarily deem should be ther...
Wrong again. Gears is the textbook definition of 'over the top comic book' or 'Saturday morning cartoon' art style brought to video games. It is equally as 'cartoony' as any game out there. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's nowhere near realistic, graphically.
Killzone, while its character models aren't as over the top as Gears' burly men, falls into the same boat.
@ Dead
Of the two quarterbacks you named, clearly the bigger question mark is Tebow. If Peyton is cleared medically, he can play, period.
I like Tebow and respect his conviction, but to be fair, it is still unclear whether Tebow actually has what it takes to be a starting QB in the NFL, let alone the ability to take a team on his back and will them to victory.
Peyton's resume speaks for itself.
Any team that feels it...
Ubisoft worried about upsetting Americans? Really? Ever heard of a little game called Rainbow 6:Patriots?
It's plain to see they're upsetting you.
Neo Nugget is right. You have insufficient info to judge yet. It brings the story of the blind men and the elephant to mind.
Also, is he truly helping the colonists, or merely helping his own cause? Did I miss him fighting along side the colonists in the trailer?
And we all know you're psyched to learn more about The Last of Us, being the huge Naughty Dog fan that you are.
I took it to mean he'll just wait for a GotY edition. More content, less money.
