The pricing allows Sony to maximize profits on units sold now, then lower the price and advertise it as such to coincide with the holiday season/Wii U launch.

The opportunity remains. We'll have to wait and see what Sony does with it.

Wouldn't that suggest the abundance of HDMI cables you've accumulated came packaged with devices you purchased?

So why not Sony?

It doesn't bother me but I can see people being annoyed.

From the article:

'The bad news is that there is no cooperative campaign, survivor mode, or co-op missions. The game won't have a co-op mode at all.'

Bummer.

But you missed 'could of'? Lol, some rescue.

Rating systems and governments shouldn't determine what a child plays, their parents should, not to mention Robo stated parents playing WITH their kids.

You simply can't know that without knowing the terms of their deal. For instance, if Sony was giving up exclusivity of a title that could move hardware or eating dev costs for a multiplat, why wouldn't they strike a deal that put them the driver's seat? Furthermore, if that same deal allowed R* to be in a better position than if they declined the deal why wouldn't they agree? Then it's also not unthinkable that Sony would protect their investment with a buy out cla...

Agreed. I'm finding fewer and fewer must have day one games that I'm willing to purchase at full retail.

Best Buy is offering a $20.00 reward zone certificate on select pre-order games so I've taken advantage of this on games like AC3, Borderlands 2, and FarCry 3.

Without that, I'd be thinking a little harder before pre-ordering some titles.

Really? You've never referred to spending time with friends as hanging out with the boys? Or heard an adult male refer to one of his close adult male friends as his boy? Or good ole boys?

Now I'm curious as to why one would take offense to being referred to as such? Seems like something so petty to get upset over, and I mean no disrespect as I realize different cultures have different values as to socially acceptable speech.

Maybe it's regiona...

So, pointing out your demeaning tone is a personal attack? LOL. You've done nothing to refute any of my points, and instead stealthily insult. That's surely a sign of strength.

It's nearly impossible to have a civil and intelligent exchange here. Typical N4G.

Wasn't very hard? You choose to be a condescending prick over your poor choice of words? Nice!

OK, I'm now reading UC team/TLoU team as opposed to main team/sub team. So you're saying you want to see the UC team to take a break with a new IP before returning to the UC series? If so, I don't disagree. An artist shifting gears between projects can help breathe some fresh air into their work.

In regard to the plots, the archetype is similar, but mostly noticed through analysis, not gameplay. While playing the games I never had the 'been there done that...

You're absolutely right. I love sandbox games where you get a mission that someone or somewhere needs saving immediately, yet you can complete other missions that consume a week's worth of game time and when you finally get to the person or place it's exactly as described by the NPC a week earlier, like time was frozen. That's an immersion killer for me.

I don't necessarily disagree but...

Only when you choose to describe things in the broadest, most general terms. Let me try one. Every life shares the same plot. A person is born, they do stuff, stuff happens, they die.

There's enough difference in the details to keep each game/story exciting and interesting.

Now, having said that I'd like to see the next Uncharted avoid the supernatural or hallucinogenic ending twist and stay...

Onlive is cloud only. This may provide cloud as an alternative, an option. There is or at least may be a difference.

If you're looking to see the difference, you will see it.

If you're looking to see fanboys flip flopping you will see that.

It's in the eye of the beholder.

'but the thought of competitive multiplayer in the game seems out of place'

Hmmm. A post apocalyptic world with small pockets of bandits willing to do anything to survive. Sounds tailor made for competitive multiplayer.

Outlawed? Seriously? Exactly what thought process leads one to believe or even consider that a government should waste the time to draft and enact, then enforce a law over so trivial a matter?

Please enlighten me.

Playstation may also be the only brand that helped you learn the difference between ownership of physical property and licensing intellectual property.

Wow, another thing to add to the 'It Only Does Everything' list.

It's a pointless point. People are using a tool and it's working. Who would've thought? It's like saying most new songs are created by people screwing around with their instrument? Really? You mean noodling around on a guitar can lead to music? Gasp!

The point of the article is the culture of a single company to support new ideas, not the platform the games are released on.

If you know of a single company who's bankrolling more new i...
