Nothing about this game’s previews gave me EW1 or EW2 vibes. This game looked uninteresting gameplay wise from the start.
Didn’t like this one nearly as much as the first one.
I loved this game. I wish the majority of VR games were in this 3rd person perspective because it is easier on the stomach. This sequel will lead me to firing up the PSVR again. Then while I am at it I can finally play that Rogue Squadron as well.

I thought I read somewhere that HFW sold more on Playstation than Elden Ring.
Elden Ring should sell more overall considering it is available across more platforms.

I grinded last night going from level 16 to 25. I have always played these games in that way. Level up first and then just push my way through.
I need to find a better farming spot though.
That is what I did. I finished HFW on Saturday and started Elden Ring.
By the way the frame rate isn’t noticeably bad on the PS5. I haven’t had a single issue with it. However the quality mode on HFW had an unbearable frame rate to me. I had to play it on Resolution mode.
That’s not actual gameplay footage. Those were all cutscenes.
The first PS5 exclusive (timed or not) that is an easy pass for me.

Steam Deck doesn’t have Mario or Zelda end of discussion. This is why exclusives matter.

I bought Elden Ring but am waiting to try it.
I had Cyber Punk since Day One but haven’t gotten back to it since the update. It was decent from what I did play.
All of these games are involved and time consuming.
Let me see Horizon FW, then Elden Ring, then Cyber Punk. Yeah it is safe to say that I will likely never get to this one again.
That is coming from people that haven’t played HFW. Sure as an open world ER has the advantage, but from a gameplay/action standpoint ER doesn’t compare to HFW. Technically ER doesn’t compare either.
They are two different types of game with the only thing in common being an open world.
They will battle for some year end awards no doubt.
Players and buyers aren’t the same. I hate when these details are spun.
Nevertheless it is a very good game and I bought a copy.
