Having played both I don’t think that Elden Ring is necessarily the better game. I think they are two really great games that are entirely different. I could however more easily recommend HFW to someone over Elden Ring, because ER is a major pain in the ass to play. 😂

First off why focus on the monthly pricing instead of yearly deals which is far better?
For $120\year you can get either Gamepass with over 100 games or PS Plus Premium with over 700 games.
XBox has the advantage of offering new titles day one where PlayStation had the advantage of a much much larger available library.

Read what I said very carefully. MS isn’t putting $100M dollars into these single player projects right now.
If MS actually begins investing heavily into their premium games they will begin to offer less day one games. This is especially for single player games where they can’t charge for Micro transactions.
These journalists and unrealistic gamers are upset that MS couldn’t force Sony’s hand with the day one giveaways. It simply makes zero financial sense for Sony to do that. They stand to make more selling 10M copies of HFW than to give it away on the subscription service.

I plan to stick with the essential package that I have. I never even bothered trialing PS Now.
Now if the timed game trials were early access ahead of launch dates that would be worth paying the $120 to me.
Not surprising at all. Anyone expecting Spider Man or God of War day one is foolish. MS has enough money to throw away and quite frankly do not make the games at the production level of Sony so yeah they are day one on their subscription service.
Now if XBox lives up to their potential and start pumping out game after game from their acquisitions they may very well cut back on the day one offerings.
