Backwards compatibility is nice to have and the new dashboard is nice to, but neither would make me decide to buy an Xbox One if I didn't already have one. New games that I want to play and take advantage of the system is what make me interested in a console.
I would say no to it bothering Sony.
Xbox 360 had BC and they abandoned it midway through the console cycle, no one cared.

And to be fare Microsoft has not given any numbers and when they did it was shipped numbers. There is a reason they haven't been giving numbers and won't be giving number's. VGChartz saying 15 million is being generous and they probably haven't sold that many to consumers. Shipped numbers for PS4, given by Sony in September were over 29 million, So I'm pretty sure they are low balling PS4 numbers. Something VGChartz has always done with Playstation...
I believe that Digital foundry said that the PS4 version dropped below 30 FPS more than the Xbox One version but that it never went below the twenties but the reason they thought the Xbox One version was slightly less reliable was because in certain areas on the Xbox one the FPS would drop to the single digits even in one place dropping to 0 FPS.
Digital foundry's analysis was of several areas not just the beginning area of the game like NX gamer. Maybe doing damage contr...
All Bethesda games, on all platforms has had either bugs, stuttering and frame rate problems when released, at least one or all the problems listed.
Stuttering has always been a problem on PC with Bethesda games.
Bethesda makes great games with great story and game play but technically their games are a mess and to be honest the graphics are good but not anything that should be pushing hardware that hard.
All of us (PC, PS4, Xbox One gamer...
Referring to the post at the very top. Did you miss it? Just giving an explanation for why one isn't really better than the other. Why do certain people try to police the forums? I didn't say anything bad and like I said I was responding to the very first post, no need to be defensive.
@omegaheat
PSN has always had dedicated servers for games, some have them some don't, same as Xbox live. So that is just another area where they are virtually the same. Not being insulting but you come off as uneducated and smug.
I have both XBL and PSN, when it comes to online multiplayer they are pretty much the same and pretty much always have been, they both have had problems with multi player in certain games, on Xbox 360 Gears of war Games had problems with every release, with Xbox One XBL has been down just as much as PSN. I will admit that download speeds were better on 360 and the 360 had better chat options over PS3, but that is not the case for PS4. Some people have had slow download problems on PSN but I t...
Also received Best Original Game. Well deserved awards, one of the best games this year, can't wait for the expansion.
His Mickey Mouse games were the epitome of game play and had a good story too......not, both were pretty boring, and I'm a Disney fanatic. I know he helped to make some great games in the past but they were guilty of the same things he has problems with in Uncharted games, which in my opinion have great Story and game play and technically out way his past efforts. If games could be so much more, why isn't he helping to make them?
When he says something negative about ...
A game full of great story telling, amazing graphics, very well balanced game play and tuns of it. Definitely deserves the awards it receives.
A good game and a 8 out of 10 is the score it deserves.
One of the best games this year, really enjoyed it, am enjoying. If you have an Xbox One or a PC (who doesn't have PC) this is a game you should give a try.
I stand corrected. But most people bought the game for it's single player campaingn, most people didn't have multiple Xbox's to do LAN multiplayer and the online multiplayer didn't become a thing until the mod for online play came out. Even though I think Halo combat evolved sold well because of it's single player campaign. Halo 2 is a different story.
The Best buy that I went to had a two Rack full of pre-orders (physical copies) ready for pick up. They had 800 hundred stores open for midnight launch of the game. The store I went to had lots of swag to give away. I'm pretty sure Best buy and Microsoft thought the crowds would be big. Most people still buy physical copies of games by a huge margin. Also all the people working and the people in line were surprised by the the low turn out, one employing talking about how they had never ha...
I bought the physical copy and it took forever to install particularly the last 10% of the game. The disc didn't seem to be spinning during the last 10% of the install.
Installs from disk seem to take a long time on Xbox One but this one was excessively long. I could have downloaded the game much faster.
Not true, Not true at all, the Call of Duty launch will be crazy just like the last one.
Just went to Best Buy for midnight launch, their were 8 people their. At the Game Stop in the same shopping center their were maybe 10 people. Got some cool swag though, art book, nylon bag, Master Chief mask and a Spartan Mask.
Best buy was set up for a big deal but like I said only eight people showed up.
I the problems that this person described were as wide spread as he tries to portray, their would be articles put on N4G everyday saying so. Their isn't. Stealth trolling and not very good at it.
I have the original Xbox halo game and it was single player with split screen multiplayer. It had no online multiplayer.
Microsoft Xbox One console sold 5 thousand more than PS4, that's 1 3/4% more than PS4 in a month with the release of Halo 5 and a Halo 5 collectors edition console that was being pre-ordered for months, Months that were lost to PS4 by much higher margins. A month with the extremely Hyped Halo game would have to win, except this win is very small. If they win Dec. and Nov. it will be by a very small margin and it's definitely not a given that they will.
