So what that you don't get checks anymore? You still can't borrow games from friends without them being on your friend's list for 30 days, you still can't borrow a game more than once, you still can't sell games privately as they are tied to your account, it's ridiculous.
lol here's the sad part: this is just a fanboy site, they're not being paid by Microsoft. Msoft executives have no clue they even exist, they write this garbage solely out of their fanboy allegiance to all things X-bone.
Here's what I still don't know - if I haven't authenticated in 24 hours, what do they really mean that I won't be able to play games? Does it mean that I just need to re-authenticate by connecting to the internet again? Or is there so...
lol yet another troll website which not only thinks Microsoft "won" last generation (which it didn't if worldwide sales are what you're basing that off of) but there isn't a chance in hades that X-bone is going to sell more units or software than PS4.
Pretty much every large developer is going to be making multiplatform games, so don't hold your breath on exclusive stuff from activision, EA, Kojima productions, Ubisoft, or any other large dev that h...
lol Kinect is just expensive to produce, it doesn't mean people actually want it or derive any value from it, so great it can track your head so you can wander the camera around aimlessly at the screen in a racing game... *crickets*
PS4 is the least expensive top tier console ever to be released on day 1 (I say top tier, sorry Nintendo fanboys). I'm not surprised Msoft wants to make some money on the hardware, what I'm surprised at is how big a loss Sony is willin...
lol wow... just wow... Foxgod, it doesn't matter whether a company can continue to make money off of a product after it has been sold. Whether you have that capability or not as a company will determine your profit making abilities, it never leads to the conclusion that consumers should no longer have the rights to ownership.
Besides, you're also wrong that game companies can't make money off of used games - it's called DLC stupid.
Also, GM ...
lol it does look like a VCR, and their controller doesn't seem as shapely or smooth anymore. I would never in a million years buy a console with that many restrictions on it.
Pachter: I am definitely hopeful that I'm right about this, but I don't actually KNOW anything about whether this is accurate.
Yeah that says it all right there. Pachter does this with everything - pulling shit out of his ass and hoping he is right. The sad thing is, people actually use his advised and spend their money accordingly (business people, not you).
For some reason I remember Pachter saying the PS4 would be $350, and Xbone would be $399......
lol I know right, although it's possible they don't want the dev kits running anything as they're probably not finalized. Microsoft didn't want to unvail anymore information about the specs which tells you they haven't finalized them yet.
Microsoft doesn't want to make it clear, if they did the gaming media would crucify them. Instead, they dodge questions, throw out pre-written canned answers for every question, it's all about keeping it cloudy.
Microsoft has kept it cloudier than a Lance Armstrong urine sample lol
The answers keep changing, the facts keep changing, and Sony is having fun just sitting back watching Microsoft put their fut in their mouths, only to take a few jabs at t...
lol you can tell they're fishing for people to subscribe to their website when they end with "Let us know how shitty you feel about this list in the comments section! Don't worry, we have thick skin we can handle it!" Only for them to force you to register instead of allowing you to comment as a guest.
Troll article, voted down.
lol Nintendo fans deserve what he said, and then some, obnoxious childish little self-entitled bastards
People just don't get it. Whether it's your "opinion" that a game is good or not is one thing, trolling for hits like smaller website usually do to get attention is another. The review was not even the slightest bit genuine. It was not even the slightest bit objective. Whether it's your opinion as to whether metacritic is reliable or not is irrelevant as well, since the publishers seem to think it is, and dole out quality bonuses based on metacritic scores to developers....
I don't respect Kojima's decision, not that it was his decision initially but he could have stood up for David Hayter, I mean really. He doesn't care about the US voice actors, if Konami wants to be more mainstream (as if MGS wasn't a multi million seller already) then Hideo will listen to whatever business case they come up with to get the game to sell even more copies.
Hideo doesn't really know when he's screwing up when he is. He thought everyone w...
LOL @ dedicated gamer. I get it that it looks so clear on paper that websites are in bed with publishers. Here's the sad truth: websites are written by fanboys, unemployed bloggers in their underwear who are head over heels in love with whatever console it is of their preference. They're just like every other internet fanboy you've ever seen, gallantly trundling to the defense of their favourite console, bashing all competitors with no end in site, they just happen to write for a ...
I'm betting the vast majority of you never heard of that shit stain website Polygon. It doesn't have a group of senior editors. It has an unemployed blogger sitting in his mother's basement in his underwear wondering how he's going to get people to at least notice that his site actually exists.
People have been doing this on the internet forever. Put out mediocre review score for a game everyone loves, sit back and watch the hits come rolling in as people go ...
The thing is, that CoD footage is all cut scenes, there's no actual gameplay. Whether it's being done with the in game engine or not remains to be seen, but that's probably the best the game is ever going to look. In game will be smooth, but it won't be as graphics intense as Battlefield 4.
Gamers won't care either way, they'll look for what is familiar and safe as they always do, and buy the next CoD like they always do. EA is just hoping its used ga...
lol Kevin Levine returning to Bioshock Infinite, that was a return after that long wait.
Cliffy B just got done with Gears 3 last year... I can hardly call this a return so much as a slightly long vacation to run his mouth, now he's back to... run his mouth some more lol
The videogame industry is the only industry that cries about used sales. It really is an industry full of whiners. Do you see car companies crying about people selling used cars? Do you see car companies looking for a cut from all used car sales? Do you see clothing companies looking for a cut from used clothing sales? Of course not, and the economics works the same both ways.
Just because your consumer base bought used games, it doesn't mean you lost money. You just fail...
LOL people have every right to be upset when you can no longer get used games, can't take games to a friend's house without them buying the game as well (almost full price), always being online as a requirement, a camera that is always there picking up sound and video that I'm sure no one will ever hack into (yeah right) plus the huge emphasis on Kinect as it is now mandatory, and Kinect games being front and center with all the emphasis in terms of actual new games is complete ga...
LOL "It would've been a better console had Microsoft not listened to all the haters"
This is the problem with the dumbass author's thinking. Anyone who disagrees with him is labelled a "hater". This is why said author is not a businessman, an executive, nor will he ever amount to anything in life. You don't grow a business by ignoring your customers. When the people speak, and in this case it was an uproar beyond anything anyone could have fore...
