How many IPs has Nintendo published that they don't own?
The only ones I can think of that have iffy rights are Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Eternal Darkness.
I think Nintendo has more handheld IPs than Sony has IPs.
Its never a case of those games NOT being in HD, its just that they won't pour unneeded money into them.. to make em Uncharted levels of graphical details.
Wii Sports HD will be HD.. but you won't see like individual blades of grass because it doesn't benefit the game.
Does downloadable services count? I thought MegaMan 9/10 did well for Capcom?

There's no solid proof of what the sell-through of digital games are.
Until Sony or someone comes out and state a solid number or %, its just hearsay from either side of the table. And grasping at straws.
I don't think going around kicking folks when they are down is the best attitude to have in life.
It also closes the door for possible rational discussion.
Like what Sony can do to turn around their fortunes in Japan. Or how long they can sustain this without doing or saying anything publicly.
I still don't think its a knee-jerk reaction. It seems like something Capcom wanted so Nintendo appeased them.

I think the diff is most companies aren't as blatant about it.
There are worse examples like the Converse in I, Robot, any Bond film in recent memory with Sony laptops and phones, and the likes.
This though is like a 30 sec Sony commercial at the start.

The DS didn't flounder for 2 years.. if anything, I would say it had its turn around during its 2nd year with Brain Age, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros and the likes.

If a console doesn't do well in the first 3 years, I would imagine 3rd party support/new releases would dry up.
If anything would say after the initial few years, it matters less.
After the beating, THQ took this weekend. I don't really see them having any choice with future games but to put them on any and everything that has potential of selling.
