How do we determine what a system does and doesn't deserve in terms of sales?
I love Super Mario Galaxy (And its sequel), and think best 2 games of the gen, but I wouldn't even include it on the list.
If anything, the top 3 games would have to have been Gears of War (Cover mechanics and making co-op a major feature this gen), Call of Duty (Re-inventing online FPS) and Wii Sports (motion based gaming, mini-game comps) Anything else, could be up in the air, I think.
I'm going to miss the merchant.
Though he probably wouldn't survive all the explosions.

6 Luigi games? I know of Luigi's Mansion and Mario is Missing.
40 Zelda games? Zelda, Zelda 2, Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, MAjora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight PRincess, Skyward Sword
Link's Awakening, Orcacle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks
And if want the CDi games makes 14 or 17

I think his point, and its reasonable on paper. Is what can MS offer customers to WANT to upgrade to the next Xbox?

An evergreen title is a title that sells well over a long period of time.
The way that Wii Play, Wii Sports, Mario Kart DS/Wii, Brain Age, were all top sellers for several years.

Its not that they don't create new IPs/brands, if people choose to ignore that.. its a different discussion. But to act like they've done nothing new since Mario and Zelda.. is odd

On paper Samus should kick Mario's ass with little or no effort, but no one ever really questions it.
