@Magog I will have to give Deliverance a try!

I never gave it much thought, but it does seem to make sense.

I think that there are a lot of hurdles that keep the console user base at the number it currently is at.

- Buying a dedicated gaming machine vs buying devices that can do gaming as well.
- Cost of new AAA games (which tend to be the justification for console gaming to exist in the first place AKA "if it wasn't for console gaming we would just be playing shitty mobile games&q...

You do realize that all of those article titles are just statement of fact right?

Like actually zero opinion. He is not putting down Sony in those article titles...

It's the equivalent of saying.

"The sun is hot"
"Apple releases new iPhone"

All of these statements are neutral statements of fact. The fact that you discredit someone because they objectively report on a company you don&...

My only view on this is that I am glad Sony now supports cross play.

Frictionless play with people from other platforms is really nice. Having to buy a console that I don't have just to play with a friend is a little absurd in 2021. I get the competitiveness arguments, but by and large lobbies are separated by input method (keyboard vs controller), unless the user allows themselves to play with players of all input types.

I see this as a win for eve...

Very good Sony. Please continue to do this.

My comment is mainly speaking about going 30 to 60. Anything else is just a bonus.

To speak on resolution, I am firmly in the camp that I will take FPS over resolution.

I recently played God of War, prior to the 4k update, and I honestly could not tell the difference while playing. The game still is one of the most visually amazing games I have played in recent times, and I was playing at 1080p on my LG CX.

Perhaps if I compared scree...

I have held off on playing a few playstation games until this happens. Mainly, bloodbourne, and the last guardian. Hopefully this is something that happens soon.

This is a good thing.

Higher FPS is a game changer. They are offering this FPS boost to titles from many publishers at this point, hopefully more publishers give Microsoft the go ahead to offer FPS boost to their games as well. Ubisoft, and Rockstar would be fantastic additions.

I started to think about this very thing, and I wonder how many outside of this community took advantage of these offers (1$ Game Pass Ultimate conversion of 36 months of gold). While I believe many in THIS community that take part in discussion here and on other forums probably took advantage of this offer, I think the casual (and majority) were not aware of these offers.

I am starting to think that those of us who took advantage of the 36 months for $1, probably only comp...

Yea, DLSS (or similar technologies) support should be at the bedrock of every game engine in existence. This is one of the most exciting technical innovations in the gaming space today. The ability to allow lower end hardware to punch well above its weight via machine leaning is remarkable.

My view on XSX and PS5 is that in addition to their advances in storage speed, ML techniques will allow these consoles to perform very well. Of course they are with AMD, and we have yet...

I'm just waiting for an official Next Gen Version (not back compat). I want the Witcher next gen upgrade and Cyberpunk when all of the bugs have been sorted out.

When you travel to Columbia for the first time, and the voice in the ship says, "Ascension, Ascension, Ascension,...," You then break through the clouds after a while, the voice then chimes, "Hallelujah!" while being greeted with the view of Columbia for the first time.

That scene, both visually and auditory, sent chills down my spine. A combination of fear and awe, wonder and apprehension.

They nailed a unique vibe unlike many game...

I would take a look at the author. Jason Schreier is quite reputable, despite of what people think of him personally.

I am very curious with how this game will control.

I think a statement on what their plan is would be nice. At the very least give us some closure so we don't wait in anticipation for nothing.

I think it would have been nice to have updated the playstation collection games (a collection of games given to new ps5 owners) to be optimized for play on the new console.

Patience my friends. This trajectory is promising. Currently playing God of War (2018) for the first time on PS5, it is fantastic. I got many other PS exclusives that I have yet to play, once a few months have passed I will see what cyberpunk is looking like. It is definitely on my list.

I love paying $100.00 for games!

And people wonder why people are playing fewer games but for longer amounts of time. The rise of f2p multiplayer (Apex, fortnite, etc...) games and games as a service games (destiny, warfare, etc...) is no surprise. I feel priced out of the market. I almost have no incentive to play single player games at release. I always pick them up later heavily discounted. I want to try a lot of games, but it is just too expensive to experiment.

I have not played any of the games nominated on this list except for Ghosts of Tsushima (playing it for the first time on the PS5). It is a really cool game.

This is nothing but positive. A company made a decision, saw the outcome, admitted they made a mistake and have stated what how they will be shifting their focus towards new ip, AAA games of the type the gaming community are fans of.

It is refreshing to see.

I personally don't mind companies going in new directions that I might not support, if they possess the humility to admit they made a mistake and don't let their hubris stand in the way of pos...
