Microsoft is starting to sound more like politicians than gamers.
Could you imagine for a minute swinging through the rush of air from skyscraper to skyscraper. Tackling enemies, fighting crime and rescuing kittens. I think this would be awesome on today's PS4. Then the possibilities of VR. And perhaps a good strong story. Never know maybe they'll do Iron Man after this.

That's awesome. I hope it does well in the states because it's been out for nearly two weeks and it's still sold out everywhere in my town. My wife and I really want to play it before I leave in a week. And she's not quite ready for the digital purchase era. :-(
Primarily as a PlayStation fan I think it would be kind of cool to see MS try this upgradeable console. Sony or MS for that matter. But if MS did it then I would get both that and the Playstation for the games they have. But having an upgradeable console doesn't have to be like PC. Gaming focused only. Netflix, chatting and messaging are just bells and whistles.

Consumers will purchase how they like. Some like the latest and greatest that's out there. Some will leapfrog on version and wait for the next. The option should be there though that when people are ready to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 or PS4.5 to PS5.5 that they are given incentives to trade in. So my take: 40 million PS4 gamers have a PS4 some where in their house hooked up to their HDTV. But now UHD TVs are out and while it's not required we have the option to finally game on with PS4 NEO. The only thing wrong with Ratchet & Clank was that it sold out at every store in my town. Both GameStops, Target and Both Walmarts. What is that 5 months and counting. When No Man's Sky comes out the Internet won't even know what happened in June's NPD. I guarantee it. Not to mention world wide. It's PlayStation is about to get another piece of the market they haven't even seen before.
