As a PlayStation guy these are some actually very true and valid points. I hope Sony addresses these items in future updates soon.

Proud owner of the OG PS4. Currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on it. Literally watching right now American Horror Story on my fat 80 gig PS3 I bought in 2008. In the living room lies in wait a very brand new PS3 super slim if for any reason my fatty decides to die. We've been through a lot together. Airport security and everything. Congratulations Sony and Thank you for the memories.

Curious, would really like to know what digital sales worldwide and by region would be like.

Currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4. Still need to play Uncharted 4. I'm enjoying Tomb Raider to it's fullest right now. I liked the reboot aswell. I've also played all 3 previous Uncharted games. I equally like both series. Honestly I'm just waiting for their paths to cross. Drake and Croft that is. A gamer can wish right?

This article seems very fake all around. I really don't think there is anything wrong with having a favorite brand. At the same time I believe you can also color outside the lines if you do choose. But saying a true gamer owns all consoles and PC is like saying a real driver drives all brands of vehicles. It's not always going to be realistic. Brand loyalty can be something as simple as built on trust.

And they wait. Lucky to be out in October.

I don't mind the PS plus games. Sometimes I get them. Most times I am busy with other games. But I also see PS plus as a battleground for indie developers and developers as a whole to compete and get their game and studio attention. They'll get paid anyway with the proceeds for PS plus. But once they are known then they can risk getting involved with a AA or AAA type of game that adds to Sony's lineup in the future. Just think what the makers of Rocket League are up to now? Altho...

If Microsoft even had developers that alternated their work like naughty dog does between Uncharted and The Last of Us, for example then we can have 343 not only may Halo/ Halo Wars but maybe also a whole other IP even if it's surprise! Another shooter. Same with whose making gears these days. Instead of anticipating Gears 5 next year how about a new IP they can introduce along with the launch of Scorpio. This will open up the PlayStation's audience and the fence sitters to at least l...

I'm willing to bet if Ori, Quantum Break, and ReCore was also on PlayStation those games would have sold what they were truly worth. I've learned this gen that the PlayStation community just loves videogames in general. I mean seriously almost 50 million in just over 3 years. Also with the reviews argument: Just because a magazine or game review site grades a game based on their opinion doesn't mean the gamer will share that same opinion. That's just fact. If a gamer enjoys a ...

What I'm curious about is take FFXV for example. Square-Enix makes the game for both Xbox One and PS4 obviously it sells fantastic on PS4 but not as much on XBOX One. Does Square-Enix lose money investing the game into XBOX One when it doesn't sell well. Honest question.

Whether these games release in 2017/2018/2019 the point is Sony keeps pumping out games regardless. I have spent much backlog and futurelog that it's insane. Much like a certain Insane Trilogy game coming out which I'm sure is just a step forward in creating an actual remake. I'm still on Ruse of The Tomb Raider thanks to a birthday present mind you not an exclusive but worth the wait, then I'll go back to the last of us and play through it again before part 2 comes out. Then ...

Game and console sales will always be ultimately decided on exclusives and the particular taste the userbase has. Pixels and resolution won't matter to the core gamers. Next you'll have your console features such as 4K, 4K Blu-ray player, VR, backwards compatibility, cloud based backwards compatibility, remote play etc. that will play an additional role in sales. Ultimately though it's the exclusives. Always will be. Until Microsoft understands this, price drops is what they'l...

I'm thinking 6 year cycle. PS5 @ 2019. Another 3 year mid-cycle with PS5 Pro @ 2022. Just speculation though, who knows.

Sony wants to give their current and future customers an option. Mid-grade as it may be they don't want to have a $500 or more console that's going to lack an attachment rate with a hefty price tag. Save that kind of money for the PS5 that may by then have a 4K Blu-ray drive, upgrade hardware, international PSVR support. We could see this happening 2019 probably. I think people are upset that whether it's The PS4 Slim or the pro combined it will surpass 50 million units before Nov...
