They would have died in the N64 GC era if it wasnt for the huge success of the GBC and DS. Those consoles didn't make them a massive profit and although it wasn't a dreamcast type failure they were getting there.
Just because it has PC textures doesnt mean its gonna look anywhere near as good as PC version.
Once the DDR4 memory comes along the advantages of GDDR5 start to diminish again. DDR4 will enable higher densities at comparable speeds as well as upgradeable modules which might be more desirable for customers The new Intel processors will support DDR4 later this year.

Looking at rumored prices of steam box I cant see it touching console audience. Its gonna be premium PC market price (£700+) and thats a small market. Most those gamers also like to build there own systems so I feel Valve will fail. Shame as when I first heard of STEAM Box I was hoping for a cheap PC but it wasn't to be.

The sad thing is its sold badly because of micro transactions. Yet they are going to bring this to every game in the future. EA have well and truly lost the plot as instead of doing a bit of research to find why the game failed they just shut up shop and thought "lets earn money elsewhere using micro transactions" not realizing THATS THE REASON YOUR NOT MAKING MONEY! It just doesn't work on consoles as console and PC gamers don't want it. We pay enough already for our games....
Meh your not missing much anyway Crysis 3 should be played on a decent PC NOT a console. Crysis is a game to show off how great your PC is. It's not a great game it just LOOKS a great game. Looks horrible on consoles compared to my £300 PC.

Lets be fair the wiiU was only out for 4 months in the year.. But it did have launch numbers which has a lot for one month. The 360 numbers show how much compared to America it doesn't sell worldwide.
Erm I disagree and im from UK and also your theory's blown apart by the wiiU sales.. 8,709.. Thats only 1/7 of the sales of PS3.. A so called next gen console thats still new is getting battered by current gen consoles thats lets face it didnt have the best line up last Christmas compared to precious years...
However I do agree Europe will buy the best machine no matter the price. Quality will win over price in that respect we don't just buy a 360 because its cheaper....

PS4 announcement wasn't really to show off the games or the power but to let people know they are making it. To appease developers who were dying to talk about it. It was basically a "yeah were making a ps4" while building a massive hype train around it. No doubt there new advertising agency were behind this and its a step in the right direction.
MS own the brand name now but the original team are all but gone Bizarre are now owned by the machine now known as Activision and half the team work for Evolution studios and will be working on drive club. Obviously drive club announcement scared MS into getting this IP back.. Thats good for gamers I guess but what studio can really work on this?? Most studios are not major ones who only really do software or low budget Kinect titles. MS only has a few big budget studios like 343.

The PS4 is so powerful why would we need a new one in 5 years? What could they possibly add other than graphics to it? In the past we upgraded for graphical leaps the last one was the biggest from SD to HD but this one will finalize that where we can finally get that true 1080p gaming at 60fps. What could we possibly need from our next consoles? These ones are already 4k compatible (well no word on new xbox but it probably will be).

It was obviously a PC as my mate pointed out while watching he notice screen tearing lol. I was like thats probably because its an early build but PC build makes more sense now lol. They maxed it out and tried to run at 60FPS on apc that couldnt handle it.
The problem is you cannot get GDDR5 as primary memory for PC right now as CPU architecture does not support it. Intels new CPU next year will do however. I like how they say oh its okay its overkill anyway we will use GDDR3. They obviously know nothing about memory and the differences between GDDR3 and GDDR5. GDD5 is 5X faster than DGDDR3 thats a huge differnce. On top of that X86 architecture on a PC is limited by windows to a measly 3GB. See windows is a massive drawback in PC gaming in fac...
Why because they refuse to give a refund they are a terrible developer?? Sorry but its a digital game and the game has a few teething problems at launch and thats no excuse for asking for a refund.
