As a former GameStop employee i can vouch for this, he's telling the truth about GameStop making very little from selling new copies of games. Also a lot people don't know this but they make absolutely no money from selling a new consoles. I fear though you might be out of a job in he next year or two if DRM becomes mainstream, it's one of the reasons i left GameStop to go back to school.
I just hope Sony will make the right choice and back us gamers.
#PS4NoDRM
Pff MS will unleash the POWER of the cloud that will instantaneously somehow transform you're Xbox into a super computer, adding more RAM, better GPU, and turning DDR3 into DDR10....
If Sony decides not to implement DRM on the PS4 making EA not publish for the system, i honestly wouldn't care. The only thing EA has managed to do this gen is destroy all my favorite franchises making them irrelevant to me. EA can huff and puff all they want but at the end of the day Sony will decide whats the best course of action for the PS4 and its fan-base.
Why does it need to be a program? Just allow them to self publish.
GTFO Microsoft and take you SpyBox with you.
Sony has a chance to knock out the competition with one blow, don't you think they would consider it. No DRM is Sony's Ace card that they can play at anytime because unlike the Xbox One the PS4 wasint desinged around always on line / DRM.
First consumer backlash, then media backlash, then developers speaking out, then Governments getting involved, and now this! Man this is getting exciting, this is way more interesting than anything on TV.
I'm so tired of their PR bull
I don't even care what they show anymore, I will not trade my privacy and my rights just to play next Halo.
He's such a sell out / tool
A camera thats always on, always connected, can hear every word you say, has face recognition, and heart beat sensor, it seems a bit excessive for a hands free controller don't you think. I will not allow any kind of surveillance system in my home and if MS or the government wants to spy on me they can do it the old fashion way by looking at my Facebook.
You are correct, These big publisher think that by monopolizing the games market will result in more sales but what publishers fail to understand is that the second hand game market fuels future purchases of new games but once they eliminate that market people will have less money resulting in fewer sales and also it will force the consumer to be more picky about what they buy.
More like EA and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Online DRM rumor (check)
Like it matters, the people that like COD don't play it for the graphics obviously or they would have stopped playing a long time ago. Anyways i suspect Activision will not have an easy time promoting COD next gen when every other game will be running at 60fps with way better graphics than what we are seeing from COD's old slightly upgraded engine.
For once i agree with you
Lol Jek_Porkins i bet even if somehow the console sprouted legs and kicked you in the balls every day you would still support it.
what if you place a picture of you in your living room in front of the camera instead, I wonder if that would work?
@Majin-vegeta
Why would anybody disagree with you? truth be told if it wasn't for DRM, always online, and kinect stuff i would buy an Xbox One.
