Well said. A 1.3 gig beta. I have played the beta on PS3 and 360. The retail 360 game will be on two discs remember. One for multiplayer and one for single player I'm guessing. It needs to uncompress which is what the retail game will be for. No more testing and tweaking. It all comes together on Oct. 25th can't wait.
Agreed Bubble up for you sire.
I cannot believe what I am reading!
Let's get this straight: Now you aren't buying the game because of a crappy beta?
There's gonna be 12 other maps.
How can you judge it so early?!? Very odd crowd here on N4g(love ya baby).
no one was even shooting at him. Looks like he was playing a bunch of dumb-dumbs.
The music was great though and the Alpha footage was nice to see for sure. Little over a month to go!
Its not all about the GFX, its more like, immersion for me. Anyone who has a brain knows that PC's are constantly evolving, thus superior hardware follows suit, whilst consoles are left in the dust. However, in the right hands, big devs really do a lot with a console's tech, even as it becomes 'archaic' to the PC community.
Lets face it, consoles are easier to access and get acquainted with. Most of the general population game on consoles, that figure has rise...
Yeah Dragon Age origins, and Mass Effect were the last two titles they filled with RPG goodness and everyone loved it. Now.. not so much.
Very interesting indeed. I wonder how much Red Dead Redemption cost.
Personally I think Saints Row the Third is looking pretty great graphics wise, and over the top craziness as usual.
I am sure Rockstar North has learned from GTA IV and what people like and do not care for. Perhaps they have learned to stretch realism more, just like San Andreas! Personally, I don't want to play around in a wall-to-wall concrete environment again. Give me hills and moun...
I cannot wait.
Its funny I just played Call of Duty: Black Ops online yesterday for the first time. First time for any call of Duty. I can confidently say that it has nothing on Battlefield Bad COmpany 2.
They are very different in terms of gameplay in that COD is faster, twitchy trigger-finger gameplay, whereas Battlefield is a tad slower and more methodical, tactical, much more realistic form of gameplay.
However, Battlefield clearly trumps COD in Sound FX, atmosphere, GFX (chara...
awesome speech animations.
Eh, think I'll stick to Bad Company II. I am looking forward to Oasis and Harvest Day maps being released.
Which means its time for the next generation of consoles.
hahaha
How so?
Behind the Wii is the 360 in the US market which compared to last gen is quite impressive I think. Whatever your feelings about either company, this is a win for MS and naturally SOny takes Japan, naturally, MS takes the US but not by much. I believe that the XBox brand has grown quite considerably over this gen and that is a great win for MS, and thats all there is to it. Give props where props are due.
If you are a fan of the first like I am, its a must-buy, if you aren't, than discard it.
Reviewers have to play a game from start to finish, its their job. They probably didn't have the time to create their own fun, which is what Crackdown 1 and now 2 really are about. Crackdown 1 had almost no mission structure, but it was fun creating huge explosions and leveling-up your character by collecting those awesome orbs. Crackdown 2 has a bit of mission structure but its w...
Obsession FTW! Ahem...
Yes the Poker game is brilliant and I would buy it as a standalone arcade game! Thats how good it is and it has made me understand the game of poker better as well. Props to Rockstar San Diego, all in all they did a really great job and I am more than looking forward to RDR2, though its probably 2 years away anyway... yet the game itself will keep me compelled for quite qhile along with the DLC releases! Excellent! Rockstar sure knows how to please gamers and quickly!
Ya know I have the game since launch and was amazed by it. Much of what this writer has to day is true if you are looking at it with dissatisfied eyes, yet IT IS A GAME folks and I had wild expectations for it but the true game brought me back down to earth.
Also I turned off auto-aim first thing when I began the game, it definitely adds a more 'organic' feel to everything in whichcase is great! Unbearably hard?!??! Eh not really just some good challenging fun really...
So.. we just install the game onto the Xbox 360 and it takes advantage of the systems running off the hard drive? Awesome. Finally. . .
