I didnt say you always play online games, im saying that you are always connected regardles of what type of game experience you are having.
Everyone online by default would enhance community, bringing everyone much closer as well as possibilities for all those things you mentioned with time rainslacker.
How often do you boot up your ps4 and xbox one or PC and are not connected to the internt?!? People opt to be connected anyways all the time. So I think people like you just dont want to be told they have to be connected even though they are going to be anyways.

Well you will not be able to play Halo on PS4, or Uncharted on XO, so it will come down to software and personal preference. On paper PS4 is more powerful, but these systems have different operating systems and I personally believe that XO's is much more flexible and capable in contrast to PS4's.
MS is better equipped to deal with these issues than Sony.

MS has a tighter grip on these things. Yes Sony has the more powerful hardware, but what good is it if these kinds of happenings occur? 300,000 servers from XO say hello! Sonys' too poor to put the proper security in place. They had better get on it of they know whats good for their fanbase. Seriously.
MS didnt kill Kinect, gamers did by crying about its inclusion with the console. I love the Kinect, it brings that nextgen feel to the XB1 as a whole, that the competition cannot touch. The PS4's 'camera' is a failed 'me too' attempt by Sony.
