I loved the first ones multiplayer and the SP was a quick fun trip.
The second looks to be leaps and bounds ahead of the first in every aspect and so I really want to get my hands on it. Times like these I pat myself on the back, because as far as gaming goes I have all platforms covered.
360 timed exclusive, PC only, Wii port, I don't care. I'll get my hands on Lost Planet 2 day of release unless reviews murder this game as worse than Superman for the N64.

For me any game less than 20 hours of content with no replay value is a rental no matter how good it is. There's very few games I made exceptions to on this rule-Bioshock and Dead Space being two I can name.

Dead Space has so much done right for its first in its series that anyone who has played enough games know when to give credit when credit is due. Lighting, graphics, SOUND, controls, story, dialogue, voice acting, difficulty scaling, immersion, theme, and art style are all done excellently.

The PS3 version is going to be the PS3 version according to SE. They aren't even having a 360 version in Japan.
If there is going to be a gimped version of the game it will be the 360 version and that won't happen until the PS3 versions are done and over with. It's like Call of Duty World at War being on Wii as well as PS3/360--you know a ton is going to keep it back.

I have Demon's Souls and it's my first venture into bothering to import a game. The result? Best JRPG on PS3 for sure. It's unique, challenging, and filled with tons of quality in every nook and cranny.
Its story is told in a bit sprace way and the game like everyone has said is very difficult if you aren't used to having to evade and block often to life. That's about all you could say is "bad", about this game which is well nothing to me.

Whatever year you have a PS3 is the year for it.
For me 2008 was the year of the PS3, because I got one and finally got to play MGS4. Still waiting for a game to go past that mountain top of awesomeness, but plenty games have come close to its summit. 2008 also gave me Little Big Planet and Resistance 2, which I had a blast playing through on my PS3. I also cruised through Valkyria Chronicles for another fun ride that I could only have on my PS3.

I've heard the Japanese voices for MGS games and I prefer the english ones. You know what though? The option being there is something developers need to make happen. It's something you can get knocked down in reviews simply because the voice acting can be unbearable.(See Star Ocean 4) If the Japanese tracks had been there for that game then maybe the dialogue wouldn't have felt so vomit enducing. Maybe it would've made the story feel less ham fisted.

As long as the English PS3 version is not in any way hindered because of the Xbox 360 version then they can do whatever they want or not want with that 360 version.
I own all 3 consoles and there's no way in hell I'd get the 360 version over the PS3 version. The only multiplatform games I get on 360 are shooters such as Battlefield Bad Company or Call of Duty. It's just less hassle since I know my PS3 breaking down isn't 33% chance, I know my PS3 won't heat up my room an extra 40...

Halo is successful. People need to deal with it. It did enough right at the right time and was backed up in the right way.
I personally got my 360 because the Halo 3 commercials were so well done and I felt I was missing out big time as a gamer by not having a console to play it on ASAP. The marketing team did a great job, and while the game wasn't my cup of tea for more than a month it was still a sound purchase.

So far this year it has been Killzone 2 as the best game I have played.
RE5 is probably a close second, but mostly due to slim pickings. RE5 has enough faults to merit it a 8/10 from me which is a rental in my book. :)
Everything is cheaper, but also worth less. Really it all just scaled down so it's still expensive, but oh well. That's life in FFXI. You start off poor, get less poor, go back to broke, get teased for nub gear, then finally make it big with a peacock charm or some other item worth savage cash to reboot your gear to less fail. From then on it's just a matter of pushing forward through terrible parties till endgame lol.

Ever since I played .hack I've just wished for it to not be a SP experience. Anyone who's even watched the anime alone wishes that games would jump a few generations so we could play virtual MMORPGs anywhere lol.
As close as we can get now is .hack with an offline SP portion, and then a full fledged online mode. Think White Knight Chronicles, but with a much deeper pool for the online experience.
