Remember Twin Snakes on GameCube? Porting it was out sourced to a western company, so it's possible the same could happen with PW.
I think Rage, Portal2 and maybe Crysis2 will be some of the rare games to take advantage of the PC.
I got introduced to PC gaming by my nerd big brother, started out on Monkey Island, played great games you can't find anywhere else like Grim Fandango, Gabriel Knight, Age of Empires, total war, Baldur's Gate, planescape torment…
But I think the introduction of the Xbox took away much of its potential gamers, I remember shooters and western RPGs bei...
You think that’s due to CE3 being a cross-platform engine?
They are still being mad, what's missing is the quality; another problem is there are about a million strictly puzzle games on the net, which deflate the fan base.
The good news is that Japan style adventure games are becoming popular on the DS, like the Ace attorney series.
My all time favorite are Grime Fandango, Fullthrottle and Gabriel Knight.
P.S: don’t miss the Whispered World, looks great.
Call me crazy, but from what I have seen, CryEngine2 is better than CryEngine3
Some gameplay footage:
I dream of it being a third game like Snatcher and Policenauts, maybe with some influence from Heavy Rain?
Tip: Policenauts can be found fan-translated, works on the PC and PSP
Some factors:
- Black Ops will release on 360 2 months after Halo Reach, how many do you think will leave the game for COD?
-MOH is ahead of Black Ops in the preorder charts on the PS3, and will release a month ahead.
- Including those three, the limelight will be shared by Rage, Brink, KZ3, and Bullittstorm.
So I think it will be tougher on COD this time around.
Agree, Halo is my favorite FPS and I never play its multiplayer.
According to the trailer...yes
The day this game comes out is the same day I buy a 3DTV, I don’t think I'll be able to hold out much longer.
Never understood why they don’t give DQ the same production level as Final Fantasy
The best produced Tales game so far
Sorry double post @%$#
When have Square Enix ever listened to the fans? That’s news to me.
The only fans Wada cares about are Call of Duty players.
I want a good game in the style of the Sean Connery films, he is the best Bond ever
Heavy Rain style narrative can be incorporated into any type of game. Its success will inspire a new standard of storytelling.
This is more than just a game, it’s a homage, I giggled for the fan service and almost cried for the nostalgia.
It is so much more than a shooter; it has driving, flying, platforming, starfox like levels and a great cinematic feel. A great game even if you never knew of TF, don't miss it.
The publishing of Tales games is frustrating, they rarely make two games for a single platform, how could they hope to build or sustain a fan base?
I went from TOS on GameCube, to TO Abyss on PS2, to TOV on 360, TO TOS2 on Wii, after TOG they will make one for the PS3…WTF?
They should ether stick to a platform for at least a generation or go multiplatform.
Namco already did this at least twice with .Hack games on the ps2 the first was 4 episodes and the second hade 3, did it prove successful for them? You may also count Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner (2 games).
This can be a good thing if we get well made and paced games, Lost is an example of an epic story that is impossible to do in a movie.
But developers can get over ambitious like with Xenosaga, which was originally 7 parts but was cut to three episod...
