For Bioshock the story was finished, it was perfect, the team should have gone to a different setting with different ideas, like an island or a space colony or whatever, and they shouldn’t waste their time on multiplayer for this kind of game.

Marvel UA1 was good it future the whole universe instead of just the X-Men , it had great fan service and good reviews, but MUA2 was just a bad sequel with a bad plot and belonged on the last generation of consoles, there was hardly a...

I think it's going to be close, there was no completion for the previous COD, but this time around they have to compete with Halo Reach which is ahead of Black Ops in preorders on the 360, and MOH which is ahead of Black Ops on the PS3.

Both Reach and MOH are big online games and will release before COD, by the time it comes out many gamers would have chosen to settle with what they have, and yes there will be others who want them all.

Another thing is th...

I don’t think 3D requires a lot of extra storage space; the same environment is rendered twice from slightly different angels.

KZ3 in 2D is already much better than KZ2 from what we have seen, and I think we are over estimating the resource pull of 3D, Guerrilla said that it's not as difficult as people think.

You have to be ancient to remember Strider. Anyway I agree it would be a perfect fit for NT, I'm also optimistic, this is the first time CapCom outsourced development to a proven studio.

I think MegaTen games are getting closer to the middle ground, especially Devil Survivor.

A bigger PSP would be a better EBook reader and internet browser, which I think they are aiming for, and I personally like the bigger screen.

I think they should release 2 models, a tablet and a portable, like the Apple IPad and IPod.

Some ideas:
-The touch screen should eliminate the need of another analog
-An option to view the image on the TV, streaming or thru wire
-The start screen should resemble the Sony Dash

If you want something done do it yourself

The guys are incredible; they are even translating the skits.

Namco will go to the top of my shit list if they try to shut this project down.

It's not just about the subject of the story or the plot; it's also about how the story is told thru the game.
MGS1 wasn’t just a good story, but it was also told in great style and you didn’t feel there was a separation between game play and storytelling. At that time the standard was game play- cutscene, cutscene -game play. But from the start of the game when your over the cell a scene a story scene occurs but you were still in control, and th...

There was a time the only games that had good stories were JRPGs and point and click adventure games. Then came the climatic platformers like Out of this World and Flashback.

I think MGS1 had a big role in advancing the role of stories in games, and while the initiative came from Japan in the past, in recent years western devs made strides with embedded storytelling, which makes you part of the story during the whole game, the likes of Halo(cinematic set pieces and huge ali...

It's simple to do for Manga and Anime, but very difficult for games as it needs dedicated programmers.

And I don't believe the publishers excuse that translating games costs lots of money, not when European games have more than 10 languages to chose.

P.S.: I'm actually playing Policnauts these days, a fan translated Kojima game

I just helped my kid brother get started with his PS3, got him Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, DBZ, Naruto, LBP and Infamous, got him on my friend list, then I see him logged on Home almost all the time.

I asked him about what he does there, apparently met lots of friends in the place, according to him some of them got a PS3 just for Home.

As a gamer I may never understand the joy of Home, and there are people who will never understand the fun of gaming, ...

Didn’t play Halo 2(it ended with a cliffhanger) until close to the release of Halo 3, I don’t play COD or Gears, I also didn’t play Assassins Creed 2, I played KZ2 not knowing it ended with a cliffhanger. With Alan Wake I know the story isn’t finished, so I won't get it until it's complete, But I really hope they fish it and looking forward to it.

Man I actually managed to avoid Lost spoilers for 3 straight years and 2 years for Prison B...

They lost money because they never gave their fan base a chance to grow, they keep releasing tales sequels on different platforms and scatter the fan base, they should just go multiplatform, and that won't be difficult since the games hardly push the graphics engines.

The other problem is obviously the lack of commitment for localization; if dubbing the whole voiceover is intimidating for them Namco should just translate the text, the choice Sega made with Yakuza.

I'm on the fence for the same reason, it got a great reception but I'm waiting for the story to finish, and there is no guaranty it will.

Cancellation before completion is realty in all media; I have been burned and left frustrated with uncompleted stories in comics, books, games and TV.

But if there is a commitment from the developers, and if the DLC expands the game and makes it more epic (and not just segment the game into little chunks), then ...

Games are make or break for them, Sony can lean on multiple divisions and for Microsoft the 360 is just a hobby.
