The Xbox OS team is the best Xbox OS team in the world.
:)
The problem is that MS has gotten used to getting XBL money offering almost nothing in return last gen. This gen Sony has brought "it", so MS has to think about cutting Into basically pure profit from XBL subscriptions and buying games for GWG. That's why their offerings are so utterly shite compared to PS+ which offers full games, discounts and beta access to games across three platforms.
It's genius really, because it makes you want to buy the Sony console...
I think this one is BS honestly. Thermal compound that the console manufacturers use is usually very thick, and grey in colour.
Could it just be condensation from the environment thats gone into the console?
If it releases in 2014, it would mean it had been 6 years since the last numbered Fallout. Way too long already IMO, they should be able to get one out every 4 years and rotate between Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
I hope that works, it's been too long for this game already :(
@Vulcan - True. I can see this game being delayed between 3-6 months, especially when it is supposed to have some sort of episodic element. They are great devs though, and the gameplay they showed, even though it was brief, looked like it could be one of the Xbone's best games when it releases.
@Agent - You're naive if you don't think it's going to release in 2014.
Stuff usually only smokes like that if a capacitor has gone on the console, which is a relatively easy fix (just replace capacitor). I once soldered in a capacitor on a damaged monitor the wrong way around accidentally (negative/positive) and it started smoking immediately, so unplugged it, desoldered and resoldered the correct way and the monitor started working again.
@n4rc - I think you'll find that most people expected both consoles to sell out of their initial stock. But it looks like Xbone has not sold out in certain major territories, but has in others, whereas PS4 has sold out pretty much everywhere.
Yeah looks like it might launch much later than PS4 in Japan.
@n4rc - Except they're not pacing Sony. They're behind in almost every territory, even there most loyal ones.
The biggest issue with Nintendo Direct though is that it is supposedly aimed at the wider gaming audience. But the people that watch it are mostly Nintendo console owners (or future owners) any way. Which means they are preaching to the choir. Then when they have an opportunity to impress those that don't care, they bring out Cranky Kong like it's some sort of megaton.
I will also never understand why people are excited for SSBB or Mario Kart. The games are pretty muc...
@Thanatos - There's a video of Septic in a queue to collect a launch PS4. So he almost definitely has one, unless he gave up half way in the queue and went home.
Turning Every Console Into Dev Kit Is Next Step..
...to piracy.
Someone is going to figure out how to put a console into dev mode, and piracy will become rampant. That was one of the reasons why they wanted to force online, so they could always check to make sure a console wasn't hacked.
I don't understand how the right stick has almost no wear and the left stick is completely messed up.
@ShinMaster - True that. I don't even try platinuming a game unless I actually like the game e.g. Infamous, Skyrim. Very rarely also if the game is very easily platinumable.
He says indies, but this applies to big developers as well. For example Bungie, they were treated like crap, which is why they bought themselves back. Level-5, after True Fantasy Live Online, they said they would never work with MS again after the way they treated them (although they are now developing WonderFlick multiplat).
It isn't just indies, and it isn't some conspiracy. It is or at least WAS, definitely true.
@topic title - No it's not

I'm like 90% sure this will include some sort of Quantum Break TV show for the Xbone.
I am 100% sure that there will be a kinectless Xbone SKU at some point. I have said it since the console was announced. It's a question of when, not if, especially considering they will never be able to be competitive on price otherwise
