@MorePOG - We don't know PS4 numbers. So those comments you were getting could in fact be quite valid. You should wait until all the numbers are out before talking.
Pretty good numbers tbh, now though is when you see the difference. When the pre-order's have been fulfilled, and you start to see whether the price is sustainable.
Megaton
Are those worst company of the year awards they're holding in their hands?
:p
Curry's sent me a laptop out a while back, it was DOA, sent it back and asked for (and got) a refund. A day later, they sent me a replacement laptop. Then a few hours later someone from the local store called and basically said "can we have our laptop back?" At this point, legally I could have just said no probably, but morally it is wrong to take something you should pay for. So I said, yeah, and the guy came up and collected the laptop.
At least in this instan...
Only if they learned from their micro-transaction mistake
According to the article, it seems that PS4 has sold out, and Sony didn't ship enough to the area. From the sounds of it, if they had shipped more, they would have sold more than the Xbone, and would have had the fastest selling console in Australia title. Kudos to MS for shipping a decent amount of consoles, Sony were focused on US and Western Europe, and they forgot to ship enough to Australia.
@MorePOG - You must have money to waste.
@hakeem - LOL, you can't get delusion like that anywhere else other than N4G.
"No one can say consistently what was wrong..."
Erm...I can.
1. World premiere now some how means showing different stuff from already announced games. That's just a blatant lie IMO, and is the main reason why VGX was terrible. I said a few days back, Geoff overhyped everything.
2. No audience meant everything felt awkward.
3. No build up to award announcements means there is nothing special when people get the award, and the fac...
It just looks like they are using softer shadows, and adding more anti aliasing, doesn't seem to be worse looking really.
Its not the sole reason, but it is the main reason. Once you start piling on the other reasons, such as it being more powerful, smaller, better game support for the long term etc, then the everything heavily favours PS4.
Wii U will still be around next year, because Nintendo never gives up, they will keep releasing games, and one of them will sell the system like crazy. Zelda, and X are yet to release, so I'm willing to give them a chance.
Lol Septic, I bet that journalist was so happy to actually find someone who knows all the intricacies of the console war and not just a COD dudebro
I'd prefer it if they didn't show it. Then they can concentrate on making the game, rather than using up time and resources to make a trailer every other month.
@PowerVR - So Phil Spencer announced that Sony has lots to show at VGX?
:p
Sample size is too small, it is based on a survey of 3000 people at random. At least NPD is based on actual sales in a few stores and then extrapolated from there.
Geoff is like Peter Molyneux when it comes to VGAs/VGX, you have been warned.
Georgee always makes me laugh, the delusion level is insane.
Kotaku actually broke the Xbone DRM story, way before any one actually thought it was even possible. To the point that Pachter said "it was the dumbest rumor he ever heard", so they're not always wrong.
