If VR will cost you 100 USD, there will be no cables and simply put on and go, helmet will be like glasses, it will sell like cakes and everyone wil have and use it. I love VR (particularly PSVR), but still I play a lot on tv. VR is for me interesting experience like if you go to cinema. But for example race sim....I prefer VR over tv. It depends on apps, exclusivity and motion sickness resistance :-)
Microsoft is still trying to search any numbers in which xbox excells. Yeah I understand it. They have no other option. They cant simply say "xbox is not doing well". If xbox will be top selling console, ms would show simply sales numbers. It isnt selling good? Ok, just show number of users of xbox live (Im too xbox live user on pc :-) ). Or that xbox is rising year to year more than ps4. But thats only thanks to good ps4 sales of all the time. They are only using numbers the way so...
And this is a problem? I understand that someone dont want to upgrade internal drive because 2,5" drives are slower and more expensive than their 3,5" counterparts. So I assume it makes sense to atttach external 3,5" drive to PS4. But if you have 500 GB internal and attach 500 GB external drive (for example) and want to connect another one....it simply doesnt make sense for me. Yeah, I have a friend, who is immune to buy new big drive for his PC and has 5 hdds of low capacity i...
I cant agree more. Scorpio power can be used in high fidelity vr games.
Its like when wii started to sell. Few people believed in it and see, it was smash hit. Switch can be also, it has that type of features and smart gimmicks....but we wil see. No one can know it. Im considering it as a backup console.
Ill do otherwise. Buy horizon and wait for nioh. For me nioh is too hard . I was never attracted to dark souls difficulty type games. But I know there are people for which this is important. Firstly I don't have time for playing hard games. I can even write that I don't mind if game is max 1 hours but has exceptional story. That's the same reason I like mini series more than huge ones on tv.
You forgot Nintendo mass - formed motion gaming? Now they have advanced tech in their hd rumble controller. Sony last gen it was cell - cooperation between Sony and ibm . It was revolutionary. But now it's "only" some old x86 CPU from amd with glued gpu. What's cutting edge on that? I really don't understand you. It seems to me more cutting edge to make portable big console with cutting edge portable chipset from nvidia.
I think UHD player should have been added to pro. At least for marketing. And I dont think it would mean pro had to be more expensive. According to specs. They didnt have alternative to built it.
(Ry)Zen wasnt out yet same as vega. And only one company can make so powerful APU - AMD.
So it was 2016 with upgraded jaguar and polaris or 2017 with (ry)zen and vega and probably higher price.
Ouch that was written by someone who doesn't understand the problem.
1) there's no sli config. Cerny said you can imagine like there's two cores side by side . In fact it's one huge Polaris core which is by default underclocked and which has half of core switched off. It's similar with one difference. You don't have to mess up with bloody sli in pro mode.
2) Sony can't override game settings. They can only provide more power for games with unlocke...
They can play it like xbone gen for two years and then starting to make exclusives for Scorpio, upgrade system software and continue as a new gen. All of this according to sales. That's the reason to make it so powerful. They will have backward compatibility with x360, xbone and huge leap against ps5 in sales. Great strategy Microsoft! Thumbs up. So from now new gen is not starting with new hardware but with new software only :-).
Technically yes but that would be suicide for ms marketing.
If there is more party games (like Wii sports, or ps sports champions) its reasonable for me to buy it just for fun with others. ps nor ms dont offer these games anymore - i don count just dance and similar clones. Wii sports was different.
What about vr games? They will be exclusive if they don't have their counterpart in nonvr xbone.
Luckily for Microsoft (or due to their hard work) they have backward compatibility and don't have problems with higher clocked components (I hope without limits like on pc), so next gen Scorpio can act like Xbox one brother even If it is in fact next gen. If this is true , we will see huge performance improvements on existing xbone games. At least stable frame rate . This could be huge advantage over ps4pro. If Sony isn't looking into automatically open ps4pro clocks for existing game...
Hey guys! I think PS VR is succesful. Just compare numbers with Oculus or Vive. Of course its momentum is lower now. I think there are several interesting games and few others coming (Star trek, GT Sport, now RE7). And of course if you do game only for VR, there is not so much potential customers. It needs to grow. Give it a time. I think Sony needs to implement VR into some AAA exclusivity also (like gt sport but more mainstream). Its not dying. It depends how third party developers get caug...
Yeah I agree. It's nothing about fanboyism. It's also very subjective. But I think ms needs to bring more exclusives. Scorpio will be powerful machine. Question is if 4K and vr is enough to buy it. Who will make vr title for totally new platform? And price of Scorpio + oculus or vive will be so high. I'm really curious in a positive way how will ms put this together. Fingers crossed.
Gooood :-) it reminds me great old times of tfx, f29-retaliator or newer il-2 series. I'm really looking forward for this!
I personally see great opportunity in switch. If you live alone it doesn't appeal so much. But if you have family, it seems to me like great piece of hardware. You can simply play big games in hand. Ok you can do similar with PS4 remote play. But this seems a bit different. I hope they will do great!
Theres still lot of people with ps3 and x360. And lot of people still having Wii as a console for family and kids. No need to change for them. Xbone, ps4 and wiiu isnt so much different from last gen as was last gen from pre-last ( :-) ) gen.
It can work well. But limiting factor will be handhelds 720p resolution. Who tried (like me) fullhd phones in this type of headset knows it. But it can generally work well. PSVR has also lower res then oculus and its really immersive and deep experience. PSVR has fullhd source. But I dare to say it covers more of a view then do these headsets like samsung ones (which I believe is close to nintendo in terms of construction - not resolution). So actually maybe nintendo solution will be very com...
