I absolutely agree. Maybe huge family members will understand this better. I think theres another thing about switch other than going out and play in bus. What is appealing most to me is that you can seamlessly switch (lol) from tv experience to portable and go to another room if another one wants to watch on tv or baby is sleeping or whatever else. Or you can put it into another dock in different room and continue on different tv. For me portability means this. Im not "play outside"...

Problem here is if you have large digital collection, you will throw it through the window with new generation. There are not so many families, who keep old generations and buy new.

Yeah! Why limit games with support for 1070 if there is 1080. Because lot of of gamers have weak gpus. Not that monster ones that are many times stronger than PS4 gpu.
Developing games for one console is better than for lot of pc components combinations. But porting from pc where power is not limiting to weaker console is a problem. And also....not all developers are talented in optimizing code. They have little problems on pc but big on consoles when porting.

I understand but simply I saw games in 4K but it's not so much revolutionary as hdr or vr. But Scorpio seems to be like very good and capable machine, of course. :-)
I don't want to spoil any joy , but honestly 4K is not so much interesting for me. In vr....yeah the Scorpio will be the beast. But anywhere else you need stable frame rate and nice details even in fhd, which Scorpio probably will also deliver. But it's not revolution. It will be just better. Amiblight and Ambilux is superb! And its one of few reasons I bought Philips tv :-). If I knew there is DIY ambilight maybe I would go for it :-)
It doesn't matter how you call it. It means old games can run on higher specs. So yeah it's boost mode, but it's probably turned on by default :-)

Same reason why people bought Xbox one instead of PS4 ( in terms of power). Also there are many people who prefer PS4 slim over pro. For many people raw power is not important. They need platform to play games on.
