For the big win, they need to show games, games, games.
And NOT videos of games with small print saying bullsh1t like 'target render', but the games actually being played on stage by someone using a Series X (not a PC mock up).
If they can be that transparent then they have a real chance to win people over, but if it's another smoke & mirrors job then the forums here will light up again with how it's another let down.
I don't think MS would do anything to reduce the numbers of gamepass subscriptions, it's one of their prime metrics at the moment.
I heard something about they are going to release 60 demos on people to try for a short time around end of July.
Some will be slices of close release games, others will be pre alphas of games that are long way off.
Interesting idea, I guess to dispell the myth of no games on the way, but releasing alpha & pre alpha demos is risky, as quite frankly they could be terrible.
I see lockheart coming with a good year or twos gamepass sub included, squarely aimed at the new gamer getting their first Xbox and a huge library to start from.
Series X is aimed at the Xbox One X/S upgraders, who already have a GP I imagine, so they will benefit from the launch titles being released to play on their new (or old) consoles.
However, the dawn of a new console generation is a prime opportunity for MS to mix things up a bit, maybe dump Games...
Wow, entitled much?
Oh, it's Forbes...

Woot, there it is!!
Thanks Phil, for your affirmations, you lord of gaming you!!
Is that a real photo of this guy?
I'm still waiting for the condescending "Well done Sony" tweet from Philled Sphincter et all over on the MS side.
I wonder how many game pass subs you'd need in 2 days to make £200,000,000, for 4 million TLOU2 sold at approx £50 each?
At average £50 a copy as still quite recently released, that makes Sony a tidy revenue of around £200,000,000!!
Who needs season passes and GaaS when you're making cash like that in the first week!
PS5 is my Xmas present to myself this year!
Although the digital prices on the PS store are absurd compared to physical, they do tend to have A LOT of sales on teh PS Store, with some titles being reduced within a month of release.
The Days of Play sale has some real bargains there, so if you can hold off buying immediately then value for money can be found.
I think (hope) that with this generation we will move away from simple remasters AKA ports, and what will we see more of is full remakes of older titles, as we've seen recently with Resident 2 & 3, as well as Mafia 1 coming soon.
I wonder if the white panels come of and are interchangeable. Could be a little money spinner if people don't like the white and there's special edition panels to match your favourite games.
I believe MS did a similar thing on the 360 back in the day, the front panel on the original 360 could be removed and replaced with a custom one, wasn't cheap for a piece of plastic but nowadays people might go for it, especially with the trend of buying cosmetics in online games e.g....
150 hours for me, including DLC.
It was all brilliant, I miss my Kassandra.
This is why unless Vikings is significantly different, I might give it a miss, certainly for a while. I'm burnt out!
I'm really hoping the devs of this have played ALOT of X-Wing and TIE-Fighter on PC from back in the day. The missions on both of those were excellent, with a good story covering them though, so hoping this will channel those classics single-player wise.
It certainly looks next gen, very cool design!
More stale putrid hot air farted out of Philled Sphincters mouth.
Not very exciting news is it.
PS5 having an ADVANTAGE over Xbox SX...admitted to by MS Executive!!!
Have I just been transported to a parallel universe?!!!
In seriousness, this is a HUGE concession by MS to admit this, and they will not be able to get around it without imposing costs elsewhere is the games.
MS exec is in full damage control as this is obviously the best answer the MS engineers can give him.
Outfoxed on the hardware, MS went to Radio Shack and asked ...
Epic will probably have a standard Unreal engine 5 that will be used for PC & Xbox SX games, but will have a advanced set of tools specially designed for PS5 and it's SSD / architecture.
As UE5 will be used a lot, we will see those differences coming through on third party games, especially if PS5 is picked as the lead platform for development, which Epic will probably push when they send out the software.
