@Dedicated, oh I know the story "oh too well." Camelot Software made Shining Force what it truly is, starting with the first opus.
I actually own Golden sun on the DS, for my 3ds.
Sega alienated a really good team of game developers and what they're reduced to do for Ninty is quite sad, aside from the golden sun games. Truly hoping to see a Golden sun title for the 3ds or WiiU (one can dream).
As for Sega, there are talented developers who can reconstitu...

I see atmospheric as a place where I'd like to be, beautiful landscapes and eerie areas.
Journey comes to mind, I'd love to get lost and be found by an impromptu friendship while being pegged against the odds of the land. The flying in it was just so eloquently made, it made wish that I was a 10 yr old boy again and I could fly.
The first Tomb Raider was atmospheric, the sights, the sounds, the eerie music.
Uncharted: golden abyss, canoeing on that undergroun...

Panzer Dragon HD remaster
SHINING FORCE in its tactical true form, aka SF1/2/3
Dragon Force
Phantasy Star
Streets of Rage
Burning Rangers (great/ innovative IP)
Nights (into Dreams)
Shinobi (why has this one been dormant?)
Virtual On (robots fighting is the sh*t)

Man, I totally agree, I yearn for a good Shining Force game, in the veins of SF1, SF2 and especially the masterpiece that is shining force 3 on the Saturn. Why haven't they managed to recreate one? They certainly own the IP.
Turn based and Tactical strategy games are still hot in Japan and as far as Sega is concerned, that's the only territory where they've releasing those titles. I'm baffled by their incompetence at times.

Wonderful news and great incentives for those gamers who aren't Vita owners yet.
Let the install base grow so that we can see more Vita games developed by first and third parties.
I need my Gravity Rush 2, more titles like muramasa rebirth, dragon's crown, Ys Celcetta, etc...
(I'm still not convinced that Freedom Wars will cut it for me, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt).
I need Phantasy Star 2 and Swords Art Online to be announced for...

If you're a kid of the 90s and lived during the Nintendo and Sega golden era, you might be inclined to want games in HD that invoke nostalgia and endless fun (til that game over screen.)
I want HD remakes of Saturn and Dreamcast games, as well SNES titles and N64 titles.

It seems to play like Dark souls with fighting mechanics somewhat similar to darksiders, whatever it ends up being, it's definitely dark.
Not very reminiscent to Zelda, perhaps due to its somber atmosphere. Ocarina is perhaps what they're basing it on as far as comparisons?
That dude that attacked from the hidden corner of the room would've had my head for sure, lol. Sneak attack!
Cool art direction and aesthetic, will keep an eye on that one.

Man, that collection should have included the psp games, making it a must-have collection for all vita owners.
Better yet, they could've downgraded GOW3 to make it run natively on the vita.
That would've been hours upon hours of pure unbridled fun on the go, or on my bed, lol.

ps: natively should be recognized as a word, not twerk or selfie lol.

Looks like I'll be playing payday 2 with my bro. I won't go far solo, not usually my type of game.
I was lookin' forward to remember me, I am so excited that it's coming this month, looks for a good story that could hook me in for hours of gameplay, just hope the fighting mechanics are solid enough to keep me engaged and immersed.
I need a bigger HDD, just like the person who said it earlier, some of them free games can be huge.

There are no substitutes for real human interaction, let alone a real romantic connection, though I commend you for putting your opinion out there.
As much as I like my video games, and I like'em more than I like people, lol, I still need to poke my nose out and interact with others to stay sane.

I think it's a toss up between the Atari, an Amstrad and the sega master system (kiwi adventures and Alex Kidd.
My fondest memory was standing in front of an Arcade, while my jaw dropped at the first look of Mortal Kombat.
I had never seen anything like it, it was brutal.

Of those that remain, I'd have to agree with you, sorry Xbox (Microsoft has never screamed gaming for the gamer, at least to me), but I'd root for Sony and Ninty.
I was also in shambles when Sega went out of the hardware business, having supported their consoles since the Sega master system, and even owning a game gear at some point, lol.
Still have my Saturn and my Dreamcast to this day.

Can't beat Tales of Xillia for 10 bucks, Limbo Vita for 3.75, Killzone: mercenary, puppeteer and Sly cooper. Those are months upon months of gaming, :) woot!

Here goes nothing, but here's to hoping...and wishing everyone happy holidays, although mine would be sweeter with a $25 amazon gift card (love that store). Wanna get ys celcetta or the new zelda 3ds... :)
Thanks for creating this opportunity for all of us at N4G.

I'd love nothing more than to play Panzer Dragoon Saga's spiritual successor, but how do you gather that it's alike in gameplay?
PDS was a JRPG true to form, turn based with somewhat random enemy appearances. This looks more action based, I could be wrong...

I've been sinking in hours upon hours onto dragon's crown, Murama's rebirth, Ragnarok Odyssey, Soul Sacrifice and I wouldn't mind a few good ports, because at this point, playing on the go is the only time I can get some quality gaming on a busy schedule.
There's still a back log of games I haven't touched yet, PS+ has been a god sent and a curse for the vita..too many games.
I can't wait to get my hands on tearaway and Ys: memories of celcetta. An...

I am grateful to have found this site years ago when it was the only one that sought more positive articles about the Sony brand when it was deemed to be doomed in 2006-2007 and it didn't let up til 2011. It still posts great articles and some interesting opinion pieces.
I love looking at my fellow members' reviews on games as they tend to be more down to earth and truly what gaming is all about, fun and immersive. People's comments on this site makes me more appreciative ...

Anybody who knows where my avatar comes from will know that I adore the shining force titles!
It could've rivaled Fire Emblem as a SJRPG if it had been done right after Shining Force 3's last episode.
It should all come in an HD remaster.
Oh and panzer Dragoon, especially PD Saga, best RPG to date.

I bought the first one on PS3 and I don't have the faintest idea about what's being said in Japanese, but those games are so much fun to play, wish they'd localize these JSRPG :)
