Wow, Christopher, that's the way to do it. Many ways to win and many opportunities for the community to submit quality articles and blogs.
Excellent contest this month. Hopefully, I'm not too busy and I can contribute.
Modesty and competition is stirring Xbox and microsoft in the right direction, innovative, new Ips, great 1st party games is the way to go. Taking a page from Nintendo and Sony, at least they are evolving.
It's great to see that they believe that creating games instead of buying them will get them to compete with Sony. It's win win for all gamers.
I want to buy a system that boasts great games, and while multiplat games kick *ss thanks to fantastic studios, you cant ...
Tried dlding the alpha but the link doesn't work...:/
It combines a lot of elements from games that I truly enjoyed and that Alpha seems to have enjoyed as well (like Golden Sun)
I like run jump and shoot games, megaman and Mario (hardly no shooting lol) comes to mind.
It's an ambitious project, good luck to Joakim and bifrost to complete it.
You can tell the man is an artist, he mentions set pieces and every screen shot is incredible to look at.
Glad he found a studio to polish and help out with his ambitions as a game developer, sometimes it takes a strong person to realize that a project needs outside resources.
This game has it all, character development, bright colorful scenery and areas, fun gameplay ( a few tools to develop overtime for improved weapons), a party and exploration.
I want to play it.
dual personality, dual action, sorta reminds me of a castlevania meets metroid...hmmm what's the genre? hehe
I like the story told in this, it's very engaging. Lotsa vibrant colors and detailed characters, like I said in my previous post, I really want it for my vita.
5 years of dedication to a game is grit, man. Can't wait to play it.
available on the ps4 and psvita! woot! I get a metroidvania feel from this with a metroid-esque story telling and some heavy sh*t about to go down.
It got me hooked, I truly want it for my vita.
so this counts as the last day...feeling bittersweet all over again, thanks Christopher and the n4g indie team (you guys wrote some really good previews of the games, kudos).
It needs to be said that team Ico has their own aesthetic when it comes to game design and no games (although other companies do try) look like their games.
Just like, Vanillaware, you automatically know that this is a team Ico game due to the graphics, and I don't personally think that they should be compared to any other titles this gen. The simple fact that the game is coming out of development hell and we are hearing more about it is a miracle on its own.
Let's b...
I also am unaware that there was a demo for this game. It looks really nice, I'll go check it out.
Neither sony nor nintendo wouldn't make a presence at the one of most important conferences for european gaming.
They'll be on the floor and they'll show a strong line up, Sony has a big piece of the gaming european market and it never crossed their mind not to be present.
They'll have a conference in Paris this year, and is it me or has these gaming conferences multiplied in the past two years.\
Gaming has over taken movies as an industry and it'...
Aw, bittersweet as always, loved this month, learned so much about indie devs. Got to see some amazing games, a lot of them will be part of my gaming library all thanks to N4g.
Won't ask for part deux, but I will be looking forward to indie month next year.
It'll feel a bit odd to see the regular N4g page tomorrow. But, we can turn our focus on community created blogs and such.
It's almost bittersweet, isn't it..?
Now, we'll have to get to search for these devs and games on your own and wait for indie month to come back next year.
It takes a lot of prep to get ready for it and they did a wonderful job this year, as well as the last. :)
Can't wait for next year.
it's the fact that it has magic, and a few rpg elements like upgrading your powers that got me wanting to play this game.
I really want it for my android, glad it's coming soon.
Great game to end the month on.
It reminds me on this psychotic (in a good way) ps1 game where you'd shoot your way around to survive and progress through stages, it was rather bloody, any remember of this ps1 classic?
I think it had a bunch of serial murderers as protagonists/antigonists? maybe a clown..?
Anyway, this one stands on its own merit, and I want to play it, sign me for rogue like aerial view schmup.
I immediately compared it to shadowrun in terms of aesthetic, but I love the gameplay. Im glad you're porting it to the android, and give the vita and PSN some love as well, we will return the love.
I love that it had some rpg elements and a solid story.
J'ai le begin pour ton jeux Mattieu. haha.
Super game/dev to end the month with....although I saw a number 32 creep into the line up, and that made me confused, lol given the amount of days in a month.
I was telling myself the same thing, great game on the go and with friends too..it's on the ps4, so maybe it works w remote play.
I love the diverse maps/areas and the ways of getting the goat. Great design on the logo as well, grossest/cutest thing I've ever seen.
already happy it comes out on the Ps4, any chance of remote play for the vita?
It is such a fun game, you guys just made gold, pure gold. I hope it takes off and becomes big. It'd do well on phones as well.
this game is super fun, capture the flag/goat, keep it on your head, watch your friends try to steal it and guard it for as long as you can to rack points, woot, I'm in!!
This is good clean family/friend fun and these devs just created gold. Goats are so in right now! lol.
Sony's going in full force because they know they can win the Chinese gaming market, they've made great strides to introduce their line up of consoles/hand held and games.
It's one of the biggest asian markets for gaming, so that seems like a natural move.
Yep, one of the most anticipated titles to be released from one of the most beloved franchises, and this was probably the first JRPG most western gamers ever played.
You gotta do right by it.
