I think Fire Emblem and Animal crossing going mobile may be a clue as to what the NX could be and where it is headed, especially if it's a new platform with a new IOs. Just thinking out loud.
Bug was buggy for sure but pretty innovative for the time. While the color scheme was a bit drab, the game had a certain charm.

Oh man, if the 360 is your point of reference for greatness, I am not sure how long you've been gaming. The author mentions the N64 and it is a wonderful system but not a starting point.
If you mention gaming greatness, you'd have to start with the SNES and the Sega MD, a true golden era and a start to mainstream gaming, even if the NES was the first to truly make an impact sales wise and introduce gaming to a lot of consumers.

The only time I miss my PSplus subscription is when they have flash sales and the games are heavily discounted for PS+ members. I enjoy a good sale so I often ponder if it's worth the cost of a membership and I own a ps3, vita and ps4 and haven't seen any need to get the service for the free games. I'd purchase a whole year for $30.
In my head, it coincides with the release of the NX, and the NX is probably releasing after the ps4 neo in anticipation of the specs and the marketing they'll have to do to one up the ps4 neo. Then again, it's all in my head.
If I were Nintendo I wouldn't release a new gen console before fully knowing what the PS4 neo holds in store. I'd then modify my marketing strategy to make my new system look better with the innovating things it can do instead of the competition...
Count me in! I use remote play more so than ever and it truly depends on the game, but for the most part it's more comfortable and immersive to have the screen right in front of your face, lol .

Doesn't Nintendo have a presence at E3 this year? Or did I read wrong in other articles? and if so, what will they present if not the NX? Sure they have the new 3ds and the WiiU, but...not exactly what gamers are expecting to see. I will applaud them if they continue to support their current systems tho, without a doubt.
WTH, that came out of nowhere. Who knew they were that close to releasing this game? I hope it's not rushed. How were they able to keep it under wraps for so long? I wonder what the development cycle for IOS/Android game is, let alone a good one.
I guess we will know soon enough how this one performs.
To those who are hoping for its demise, it's rather petty. Even based on specs speculation, we cannot tell how the public will react. I wish it well. I like Nintendo games and I want to see them thrive. And I have no ill will toward other companies. I support those who support my hobby, especially when they release game that I want to invest time and money into.

This device seems incredible on paper and while they had some gif's uploaded on the site, I'm still not convinced that it can handle all that has been mentioned as functionality...but maybe I'm in a state of disbelief bc I thought such a device wouldn't be possible without a sh*t ton of licensing, etc...
I want to believe in its success and would like to purchase one in the future, so I'll be watching.
Somehow I feel that the NX will be quite similar.
