I do enjoy the fact that the story telling is open ended and allows the player to make his/her own interpretation of it. There has always been great story telling in his games and a great vision on how to achieve it and I am glad that we have been able to play three amazing games by this man. Whatever he chooses to do in the future, I'll be patiently watching.
yes and the .hack//GU trilogy, I own all three discs , same for Xenosaga but I'd like to have them digitally and on my ps4.
I mentioned Burning Rangers in my comment, would love the HD treatment and a re-imagining. I loved the concept and 3d has gone so far.
I think a couple of titles really need to be given a second chance on your list, Nights ( no talking) and cyber troopers Virtual on, although the new gundam vs game is looking good. I'd ad shining in the darkness/ the holy ark, and shining force. Panzer dragoon rpg, no rail shooters and Daytona and Sega rally.
A lot of IP's were on the Saturn and need to revived. What I'd give for a re-imagining of Burning Rangers.
And bring god damn Phantasy Star to the west! ...
I'll happily celebrate by firing up my Saturn for a game of Shining the holy Ark and maybe some shining force right after.
I really enjoying playing El Shaddai, some of the bosses were really tough and required some strategy to defeat them. The art direction is out of this world and I was always excited to move forward in the game. I remember a stage with fireworks and tribal music. These kind of games are so unique, they stay with you, kind of like Okami.
games, games and more games. Flagship titles, new IP's and old IP's revived (it's doing wonders for Playstation), strong 3rd party support. And make the darn Switch available to purchase.
it just feels uninspired, I wouldn't say bad. It's in pre-alpha, right? I think it was just to create some hype around it, it'll end up looking better Im sure. The combat needs to be revamped, it felt blend
I don't think his sphere of influence can impact a game and its development. However, he has made some statements I do not agree with but it doesn't take away that Xplay was fun to watch. They'd both shit on JRPG's almost every time and I'd shrug and still play them, lol.
Yeah I can see it too, and mostly Soul Sacrifice. The setting, the gameplay really gives me that soul sacrifice vibe.
Aw, I miss the guy, and Morgan.
I enjoyed the gameplay of the latest game on the ps4, but not the story so much. I did enjoy the exploration as well and building up skills.
How about releasing it here in the West, it'll get a purchase from me even though I have the original game. Still want it for my ps4.
any remake at this point should look better or perform as well as the original. It's a great game on the go, loved it on the vita.
The mask itself is ridiculous, and the ascot that reveres the sonic boom series is just a plain ol' No!
I am all for the footage tho, it's looking real good. I am glad that Sonic fans get to have a classic 2d game and the 3d fans get Sonic Forces.
I want Yuji Naka to work on Nights into Dreams for the next gen.
.Hack GU, Okami, Grandia 2 and Xtreme
I saw a let's play for the first 15 or 20 mins and the game looked really good, graphics and frame rate wise and the person playing didn't seem to have to any issues with any gameplay portions. The first portion of the game didn't seem like a barren island, there were animals, birds, and fun corners to explore. I still keep my hopes up for this one and hope they can patch the framerate issues.
It is baffling to hear that Yuji Naka had such a vile reaction to the test group, I mean Sega's image took a hit when the Sega Saturn was released but it's only bc they didn't know how to market it in the west, it could do 2D so well (arcade like even) and while 3D games were hard to develop for, it was also possible. But they were blind not to look at the West as a more profitable market by allowing western developers to release their mature games on the DC, so that they'd be...
Agreed! Yes they are, while they might have been on the mend last generation, trying to figure things out and how they fit in the global industry, this gen they're back with incredible titles and some games are "un-apologetically" Japanese and that's how we like them.
I'd get on board for Sega Saturn games alone and if they add Dreamcast games, I am sold!
Emulating genesis games and streaming them would not appeal to me bc of how prevalent and available these games are.
