I am shocked that Sonic Team cannot handle making a Sonic in 3d (adventure was great), perhaps they're not looking at the right formula. Perhaps, the 3d/2d gameplay mix is what it needs to remain sturdy.

No excuse not to get it if you've been hesitating. it plays like Valkyrie profile and has a star ocean feel to it all thanks to Tri-ace. It has platforming elements and a big cast of characters to keep the fighting mechanics fresh.

I don't understand why they'd have to regulate in which venues their games are showcased. As others have mentioned, it is great free publicity, especially if it's let's play and reviews; but perhaps they do not want any bad publicity attached to their brand since they've always painted themselves as being wholesome. I also think they want part of that viewership revenue. However, from what I read, it only affects live streaming.

I come from a video gaming era where all the references you had where either in a magazine or the cover box of the game. And that's all one ever knew about gameplay and how it handled til a friend or a neighbor had the game, better yet some stores would have demos (genius marketing at the time).

I liked the 8 bit Ash and Pikachu, the portal one was cute for a couple but man that requires a real commitment lol and the multi game sleeve was pretty awesome.
I did a get a code initially to sign up for the beta, once I signed up I had to wait to be selected.
I received an email a couple weeks later (yesterday) saying I was chosen for the beta and it'd only open on a few select days, like Friday I believe and Saturday/Sunday at certain hours.
I still am, I have truly enjoyed this universe, I watched the movie, the short anime, got into the story and not everything needs to be fleshed out. Most of all, I enjoyed traversing the world and discovering new places.
It is an amazing game and I hope they make another one like it and it doesn't need to be a FF title.
