As much as I liked playing PS3 exclusives...PC is where it is at for me right now considering all the multiplat console games and Xbox One "exclusives" that end up on PC.
All in all to each his own.
I wonder what Valve is going to do about making the Steambox a competitive platform over PC if competent PC gamers can just build their own rigs with equal or better specs of a 500 USD Steambox with only dual core CPU's?

On topic: Grand Theft Auto is not a yearly franchise and compared to the amount of FPS available, there are only 4 open world games available with the demise of Mercenaries and The Saboteur at the hands of EA.
Those 4 games are Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row, Sleeping Dogs, and Watch Dogs. Not only that GTA's have only been coming out every 4 years or so as well. Lol at this article.

What you plan on upgrading to? I'm rocking a R7 260X as of now...Waiting for the R9 380X or R9 370X.
900p 60fps on a GTX 660 non Ti is still good nonetheless considering how old it is. It won't be until the R9 390X comes out the PC's will get further into the 4K era.

OT: Considering Valve is a private company they don't have outside forces (i.e. investors, companies with stake in Valve, etc.) to tell them what or what not to distribute on Steam.

As long as new API's are taking advantage of low end PC hardware and PC components become cheaper to manufacture/purchase...PC isn't going anywhere.
