Back then, a whiny kid would have no friend to listen to his BS. Now they have the internet.
Also, torrents and the like have allowed them to steal without even having to get out of home, so they don't even have to rent or go to the local bootleg place. This means they load up on games and don't even bother playing them long enought to learn about the game. They'll play for one day and bash it before even asking themselves if that's how the game is supposed to...
Sony's 3D gaming display is way, WAY too laggy to play games in.
To anyone wondering, the differences are basically like comparing Crysis 2 to its PC version: framerate and textures. Crysis 2 on 360 didn't have tearing, but this one does. None of those issues in the pC video. Still looks damn awesome for consoles, though.
Sony has been saying the PS3 is "hitting its stride" since 2008... Same quote four times now. 2007 = year of the PS3 redux?
July 2008: PlayStation 3 is "hitting its stride".
February 2010: PlayStation 3 is just hitting its stride.
June 2011: PlayStation 3 is only just now hitting its stride.

Six hours TOTAL, even. The actual gameplay only lasts TWO HOURS.
It LOOKS like it uses SFIV's engine instead of the god-awful Asura's Wrath combat engine, so it may be good.
Like the Resident Evil 6 demo in Dragon's Dogma, this is a way to make sure the game actually sells more than 5 copies.
HAHA, no. Low framerate and lag in a few dozen PS3 multiplat games greatly affect gameplay. Bayonetta, BF3, Skyrim, Binary Domain, Crysis 1, Crysis 2 all PLAY worse on PS3.
I laugh at anyone being introduced to the 3D series with this chapter.
FXAA on consoles is not the same as FXAA on PC.
Open-world games don't have the tight, suspenseful narrative that Max Payne and Alan Wake have.
American Nightmare is hub-based, which is the only way to tell a decent story with pacing in a more open world. Games like GTA, Saint's Row, even Assassin's Creed and Crysis 1 fail at telling stories on the same level as Alan Wake BECAUSE they're too open. The best part about AW was the story, and in a fully open game, the story would be the one hurting the most.
Bayonetta... on PS3?
WHAT? WHAT? Who would even recommend that terrible version? Even after the patch the game is a joke with PS3's shitty RAM. Bayonetta might as well be a 360-exclusive.
There ISN'T more than QTE fights in the game. It was playable at E3. There are over 30 minutes of different footage from it on Youtube besides the demo stuff.
The "normal" combat is exactly like the 2nd boss fight in the demo, only against more enemies. There's still no hit stun to anything, there's no hit-confirming, every attack still has the same proporties, shooting is still useless and has no hit feedback (nor stun), combos are still useless and bad...
Yep. MS itself has said so, not only Remedy. PS3 fans just cover their ears and pretend it's aaaall because MS is evil and it's blocking Remedy (and CDR Project, and Epic and everyone else in the world).
Some people even say the graphics in 85% of multiplats being better on the 360 (look up the comparisons on digital-foundry) is all MS' fault. Delusional PS3 fans.
Rare had more money and more freedom with MS than they EVER had. THAT is the problem. They said so themselves (last week's eurogamer feature - go read it) - they only work well when someone is breathing down their necks like Nintendo did.
the 360 was the number console worldwide in 2011. come back to the real world, as that old N4G excuse (but the PS3 sells better worldwide) is no longer true. there's been 3 different pieces of news posted here with the worldwide data.
You're a typical "hardcore" gamer in denial. It makes gameplay WAY faster and more responsive (compared to going into a frozen menu in the middle of action scenes).
Yep. That's the Sony fanbase in a nutshell.
Hype and brag about Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance... then buy COD instead. Uncharted 3 shipped 3.8 million but only sold 700K in a month in the US (NPD fact - look it up).
Gears 3 was the only exclusive in 2011 that even showed up in the top 10 sales.
So it's the complete opposite of Uncharted's hand-holding?
Go back to the CODs and Uncharteds, then. We will stay on this side of the fence.
