And ALL of them said the game has been made easy, repetitive, have too many QTEs and that the lack of weapons and upgrading hurt it.
The only people that will enjoy this garbage are God of War fans. No real action game fan (NG, DMC, Bayonetta fans) will enjoy Ninja Dog's version of NG.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Simply changing the lay-out of a room can completelly change the way a shooter feels. Set pieces and scenarios can highly change the fun you get out of the same core gameplay.
In NG 1-2, Bayonetta and DMC 1, 3, 4, you have dozens of wildly different encounters through the whole 9-10 hours. Compare it to Enslaved, where the basic combat feels the exact same through the whole game.
By paying $20 for content that is already on your disc, you're supporting an industry with $80 game discs.
A 4/10 SP game doesn't become a 7 or 8/10 game just because of CO-OP or multiplayer. Halo is amazing in CO-OP. Gears too. L4D too. But they aren't 4/10 or 5/10 in single player.

There are actual Tomb Raider GAMES (where you can constantly die during platforming and you have actual options), unlike that certain cinematic hand-holding baby's-first-shooter pseudo-game.
Mediocre, super-linear, ultra-scripted shooting mechanics can't be saved by cinematic BS. The fact the current market even supports fake gameplay for lazy gamers is sad (sad specially since the new Tomb Raider is following that trend).

ReHayashi is trash. NGS, NGS2, DOAD, Metroid, DOAXP... Every single game Hayashi has made has been either mediocre or garbage.
NG3, too. There's a laundry list at Gamespot and OXM about every single thing that directly goes against previous NG games. Hayashi is NInja Theory-level awful. He even has to put Ninja Gaiden on Ninja Dog mode to be able to play it - every time he has tried to play a NG game in public in normal or hard, he died and died and died.

I've felt sad watching movies, but never with games. I can enjoy the writing in a game (say, Alan Wake) and even think the "acting" is good (Enslaved's facial capture and voice-work are amazing). But no game has ever come close to being as emotional as even a random drama.
Ninja Gaiden multiplayer makes as much sense as Uncharted multiplayer: none.
Yeah, this is old news. Rein said so himself - they're under NDA on UE4 because of someone outside of Epic. So it's obviously a console maker. Maybe the demo is even using characters from a console-exclusive title. Be it Gears, Unreal Tournament or whatever.
It's probably MS, since Epic has confirmed they'll keep Gears MS-exclusive, but it could very well be PS3. Dunno if WiiU will handle UE4, since Rein only mentions UE3 when he talked about the WiiU today.

UC3 sold 700K in a month in the US, that's mediocre even by "average game" standards. Stop believing Sony's shipped numbers and their bundled copies sold two years later being listed as "sold". Uncharted sells very, very mediocre numbers.
Gears 3 was in the top 10 of the YEAR. Uncharted 3 wasn't even a big deal in the release MONTH.

They said it was a good action game but a terrible Ninja Gaiden game that was more similar to PS3 series like God of War than what true Ninja Gaiden on XBox was.

Dumbed down to hell. Guess that's what happens when a XBox game goes full-on multiplatform (see Mass Effect for more info).
The Sigmas were already easier (and the new characters weren't even balanced for the engine), but this one seems to go way too far.
And the weapons ARE DLC, undisputed. Previous issue of OXM had a preview about that. They're DLC for multiplayer.

The best part? Epic has said they are under NDA... so they can't show their own engine (UE4) until another company says so.
That means either MS or Sony are showing the UE4 demo later this year. Probably at E3.
