when you consider that some might need to buy a new case, mobo, PSU, CPU, graphics card, ram, HDD, DVD drive, keyboard, mouse, and maybe even a monitor. $1500 is a bargain. I spent about $1400 on mine and saved about 6-800 dollars when compared to a comparable Alienware rig. I started from scratch (I've traditionally been a Mac guy). Here's what I have: Antec 900 case, Gigabyte eP35c mobo, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 gb of Corsair RAM 800mhz, eVGA 8800gt card, 650 watt Corsair power supply...
Mine runs Crysis on all High settings on a 24 inch monitor.
I don't think I've ever seen that happen before. I guess I don't think a work of plagiarism should even be reviewed much less scored a zero. Round up the lawyers!
but it's "utmost" not "up most". Also, it's "they're" not there, "write" not "right". If you want to be taken seriously on your blogs, you have to make sense. I'm just nit picking your blog, not the game. I love the game.
they actually scored this lower than Haze (which is not that bad of a game)!
If you start putting in no talent wrestlers in a big budget movie, it will be hard for the audience to take it seriously. Look at all the badass scifi/fantasy movies that did well critically and commercially: Star Wars, Aliens, Star Trek, LOTR, etc. They all had Oscar worthy actors in them. You can't skimp on the talent. The only exception I can think of would be Jesse "the body" Ventura in Predator.
Vin Diesel as Marcus? Maybe Christian from Batman Begins. I'd like to see Naomi Watts as Anya. Michael Clark Duncan could play the big black dude (soultrain? night train?).
that people are still writing about this game. I loved the game as much as anybody, but it's getting kind of old. Yes, the story is great and the graphics were pretty cool in their time. Any hype the game got was well deserved. It sold well. Why are we still talking about this game as if it's a surprise?
like Intel took a step backwards. Why go for this when you can have the Q6600 at a higher speed?
this game is looking great.
you are right on. Luckily I got my wifi add-on for about $70 off of ebay, which is still a high price. MS has got to get with the times and include that little piece of plastic.
They just want to whet peoples appetite while trying to make as much money as possible. $50 might be giving away a little too much for MS.
a number of things. Personally, I think the install base is pretty saturated with 360's already. I think the increase in PS3 sales is probably due to a lot of great games coming out (multiplat or not) coupled with Blu-ray getting slightly more popular.
Isn't it interesting that multiplat games continue to sell better on the 360 and PS3 even though the Wii has such a larger install base. Does anyone have any numbers for, say, Iron Man or any other multiplat games?
It's actually not that bad of a game.
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay have some silly reference to terrorists highjacking a plane?
but there have to be some limits. Comedy is good only as long as people laugh. Of course, that will always be a subjective thing, so not everyone will be satisfied. One time I saw a Japanese-American comedian try to make a joke about the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He said "we (meaning the Japanese) sure kicked your a$$." Well, he just about got booed off the stage. If he had done that routine in Japan, he might have gotten a different response.
He played Scut Farkas?
and I've not had any problems with compatibility. All I know is that whenever I go to Microcenter, I see a lot of used Asus motherboards in the bargain bin.
how the system is still selling like hotcakes, but software titles barely make a dent. The only thing I agree on with regard to the article is that there aren't many new titles coming out this year (especially when compared to the DS, which has about twice as many). You would think that developers would get on the bandwagon when they see a good title sell, like Chains of Olympus, Daxter, or Crisis Core. It is possible. If anything sells 35 million units, you really can't call that a failu...
