it's definitely better than Assassin's Creed, and that's saying a lot.
I don't think I agree with Adam's review. Normally, I enjoy watching X-play, but I think they missed the mark by only giving Uncharted 4 out of 5.
This game sucked on the 360, and it will likely suck on the PS3. It has nothing innovative, scant amount of weapons, and few types of aliens. The graphics are generic. The ending sucked big time. Do not waste your time.
They probably just need to go back in and reconfigure their BD settings. That happened to me during the previous firmware update. I got on the phone with Sony and the tech guy helped me reset some things, and it worked like a charm.
Jeff sounds like any other reviewer I've ever seen. He doesn't sound unprofessional at all. He does splash a few compliments about the game during his review, so he's obviously not being totally biased or negative. From what I've seen, it does seem like a rather mediocre game (I've not played it though). If he was fired for that review, then Gamespot is guilty of bowing to the almighty dollar and to Eidos.
I don't think any rational person could ever dog on Uncharted. It is about as good as a game can get.
about 6 or 7 blu-ray movies and I certainly prefer them to regular DVD's. I do care about blu-ray movies and am always looking for a good deal on them, especially on Amazon. Some of those are cheaper than regular DVD's.
Uncharted might just squeak by with the GOTY award. It has by far been the most compelling game I've played all year. Let's face it, there have been some awesome games and some awesomely overhyped games this year. Uncharted delivers on nearly every front.
I couldn't agree more with the review. The game is an amalgamation of everything great in an Indiana Jones movie. It's got everything you could want.
On the contrary, I always felt that Killzone rivaled Halo in terms of gameplay, graphics, and AI. Some of the voice overs were a little repetitive and annoying, but all in all I thought it was a solid FPS.
It doesn't matter how many screen shots Midway puts out there. It won't take away from the fact that Blacksite is a mediocre game with nothing innovative.
It's all about price. The cheaper systems will almost always win out over their more expensive brethren. Ask any family or gamer and they will tell you they'll wait until the price comes down.
I love my PS3, but the main reason it didn't sell any better than the 360 (in its first year) was the price. $599? I didn't know many parents or gamers who were willing to shell out that kind of dough (even for a blu-ray/games combo). I think price had everything to do with the slow sales. Sure enough, as the price dropped, sales increased. I understand that the price of the technology Sony included in the PS3 is steep, but Sony did make a slight bungle by asking $600 for a gaming machin...
I bought my PS3 for both games and movies. Was that bad?
Does anybody else out there think that the only reason some of these games are getting 9's and 10's is because they're "next gen", meaning that the visuals and gameplay mechanics are so much more advanced than in years past? Are reviewers simply stunned by what these machines can do that they can't be objective? It just seems like every game that comes out gets lots of 9's and 10's when it might not deserve it, while some games get lambasted undeservedly (Lair). Fire away.
It looks way too hardcore to appeal to the masses. Lucky for the 360 that they have lots of hardcore gamers (and KOTOR fans) on their side, so it will probably sell very well.

Yes, the comparison on the web would indicate that the 360 version looks better than the PS3 version. However, you cannot really make a valid comparison using relatively low rez images on the web. You'll have to do your own side by side comparison and see for yourself in real life. I wouldn't trust any sites to be objective or accurate. The best judge is always you.
stay away from Blacksite. Worst game out this year.
