I think one year in the technology sector is plenty long enough to show all your tricks, especially if you are the last pony in the race, but that is just my point of view.
You think the wii is a toy, well, I agree. It is a toy, but so are the 360 and the PS3. It just so happens the wii is a much more fun toy to play with than the PS3.

What does that tell you? It says that the winner is not always the console with the most power, but the console that appeals to the greatest audience (more games, more variety, etc).

That every game with the name Mario in it will most likely have lots of action, and it would be fun to play. Take Strikers, Mario Kart and Party. Those games are super fun to play, and not because they try to be simulators, no, it is because when the name Mario is associated with a game, you know there will be turtles coming at you out of every angle, there will be banana peels, big fire balls, you name it. The Mario universe is extensive enough to offer all kinds of thrills to those who play...

I am looking forward to playing this game, but I still think Zelda is a better adventure (read more action and less chatty).
This game will now be considered great because it will also play on the PS3 & 360. Fanboys are funny.
I am glad Sega is following Nintendo's lead and using it's mascot as the main character in many games. It makes sense to do so, and it builds awareness. Also, it is kid friendly and not restricted to a single architecture; it makes sense!
People already own a great gaming system, it's called the PC!!!
I am a wii owner, and why would I buy a PS3 to play games when I can play them better on my PC?
Now that they are introducing a $400 PS3, I am considering it because it is a cheaper Blu-Ray player, with the added bonus of playing games, but even then, I might not... At this rate I will get one, but only when the price drops to $250 by say, next year!
Nintendo can buy chips from Toshiba now and use them in the wii 2.0, and still spank the PS4 and XBox720!!!
This would make sense because there would be no R&D cost on the chip, but that is unless they fix that horrible bandwidth issue with the PS3 architecture (if you are not sure about what I am talking about, read about the bandwidth bottleneck of the PS3 architecture that allows the XBox 360 to have similar performance as the PS3, there are tons of articles about it...)...
They didn't ask me either if I play wii on a regular basis or not. Truth be told, I don't spend hours on it everyday (I do have a life) but when I do get those precious hours to myself, I do play.
The wii is not in trouble, if it was then the XBox and PS3 are too since they are not moving the same number of consoles...

Are you saying that wii purchases are impulsive? If you are, I would disagree with you since I waited impatiently for months for the release of it, and I would certainly not call that impulsive. I got mine on launch date, and have not regretted getting it when I did.
But then again, when your sales numbers are small, any increase in sales will equate to big percentages.
I do hope the PS3 does better in the coming year, that may help decide the Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD race already.

But when you want the best (since Wii graphics don't cut it for you) you should play on the PC. That's were the best graphics are at, hands down.
When I want to play fun games I choose the Wii. When I want the best graphics, precision etc, I play on my PC. You guys realize that all the games ("you can't play on the Wii") that you can play on the PS3/360 are dumbed down versions of their PC counterparts (whenever they have a PC "big brother" equivalent) right...
