I can see why you MIGHT go there for trade ins, BUT never to buy a new game or system, as they could be re shrinked or system opened and brought back. The chances are you get what you pay for when you go to best buy or walmart or target. At Gamestop its a guessing game. Not to mention they are just lame.
I read this and the other 7 page article that takes you form 05 to now and the decesions that were made. It makes me want to throw up I went through 3 of their systems and they knew loooooonge before they did the 90 days to one yr warranty, then the 1 year to the 3 year ext. Bastards I will never forgive this decesion, and it took me from being the ultimate MS loyalst in the firt gen system they had to working daily to spread the word on this BULLSHI# move.
Best article I have read in a long time, facts speak loudest and in this article they speak well. I Sufferred from 3 of them and Im glad there is something to back it up as to why that happned.
All this doesnt matter the 360 will come in 3rd regardless of these surges, Globally they will loose and be a repeat of last gen again. SONY is eithier going to be 1st or 2nd still better than MS but not as good as last gen. The war wages on, personally I dont give a rats ass last gen was better over all then this gen.

That a lame statement, because when it comes to games, the peak is from 1-7 years in a gaming hardware cycle, so this GEN we will see it have an effect a postive one. Maybe next gen that argument can be made and applied to games. But not this gen, its too late already.

To the person that said, lowest priced system always wins. You said Last gen the PS2 actually it was the game cube, they did not win. N64 was cheaper than PS1 it did not win. This is nice, but with OLED Technology about 6 years away from being mass produced this is nothing, OLED is the thinest every (3 credit cards) and will offer atleast a 1,000,000 contrast ratio, you tube if you havent already, quote me, OLED
They would not splinter their current base, its simple a speed increase. The game can recognize what the size is. also I doubt you would see it used other than a nice boost in speed, and frankly I dont see thsi happening anyways.
David Reeves always speaks well, I think SONY in general seems to be more mature and better natured about the business, I have much more respect for them. I agree with in the future maybe a few here or there titles will be exlusive but now its whos hardware do you like and whos in house studios do you like the most? On this one Hardware Im a sony fan , software is toss up between sony and nin, but with SONY busting out FPS im leaning towards sony's houses now.
Graphics are good, story seems good, its solid at this point if I had to guess what it will get I would say,

YEa, I think what really upsets me is, they knew, the engineers knew they rushed the desighn to fast and still, it was launched, that in itself is a reason for me not to chose them.

These arguments about, well SONY only shows off in house etc, thats because time you fool. Once you make another system your main platform, its the other that gets shafted, as games go forward like anything they look better and use the details to each system to the max. Call of duty 3 looks like crap compared to Call of Duty 4, why, TIME.

Well Ive said it before Xbox is great out of the gate just not longterm ( I was an original XBOX fan and you have to come to grips with this) the hardware failure really jacked them up but eithier way Globally MS cant compete they just dont have the total brand recongnition yet, and who knows after the hardware screw up how much longer if ever it will take them to get there, SONY is on their way up not to bad...
