Excellent point, if you can get the standalone at 199.99 then you should be able to the unit itself for 299.99. 100 dollars to cover the small LCD chips and patents aught to be enough, weird.
I didnt give the original or the PS3 a chance a while back, I wanted to suffer more from broken 360s, well it happned the 3rd died. I Tried a PS3 it was sweet my first game was RFOM I was baffled how neat it was.

LOL, nice, however we know for a fact that PS3 is going to pull ahead globally when PS2 owner switch over, even if only 60% come over. they still will be quite a large MOB.
MS may be trying to make a move here, maybe paying some extra dough to get Japs to grab a 360 because it has some titles that PS3 doesnt over there, even if for only a limited time.

Gamestop had this coming for opening games and then shrink wrapping them in the back and selling them as new.

I think you will see the normal thing again, Xbox 360 will cap out at about 25-30 mil units this time around (Original Xbox sold 24mil)
And PS3 like the PS2 will start off slow like it has then the PS2 owners even if only 70% of them go PS3 your talking a 100 mil users, this S#$% is over.
