If only Sony had a VP of gaming teaser clues.....
Tragic ending to a tragic story. Just how the hell did 38 studios manage to blow, what was it, 120 million?
We're making up for all those childhoods when we all used to run around playing wargames and cowboys and indians. Pew pew pew lol. Why should the kids have all the fun these days!
@gamingGod123
Also, haven't Sony just pumped 630 million. dollars into a partnership with Olympus?
Personally, I'd like to see more games set in the past rather than present/future/space setting.
A World War 1 trench setting with sniper, tank, machine gun etc would give a FPS game a whole new dynamic in terms of pacing, strategy, gameplay etc.
Just a thought.
Good piece and right on the money. A game like BL2 that has all the vital ingredients inside a rich coating of FUN. Then take the variability of multiple playable characters using a multitudinous variety of weaponry for a huge amount of loot-filled missions.
Thats even without mentioning the DLC that Gearbox. will support the game with.Only bad news is for my back log of games I want to play lol
Its the addictive nature of looting thats BL2's biggest draw for me. Waiting to find that real gem in the next box or dropped by the next kill.
Strangely, I can draw so many parallels from this game and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning which was released early in the year.
Isnt this generations hardware sales a bit academic and uninteresting at this stage of the console's life - regardless of the manufacturer?
Congrats to Borderlands2. Gearbox have a huge hit on their hands which I know will be well supported with DLC.
More 'lets kick Sony in the nuts' flamebait. Pathetic.
Hope the DLC is released same worldwide. Its like a feast where your plate is being filled up as fast as you can eat! Yummy. Gorging on Borderlands!
The fall of 38 Studios was my greatest gaming disappointment and regret. The game they produced, KoA:R, was testament to a highly talented team of people. Im certain a follow up game to KoA:R, would very much have seen an even better game; much the same as Gearbox have take Borderlands to even greater heights.
If they need real gun designers then maybe they should put in a call to Gearbox! Bazillions! lol
So looking forward to seeing what GG have managed to achieve with what was a good looking game to begin with.
Good story, reload animations and the choice of four playable characters make this an unmissable Killzone.
Think this guy needs to load up Borderlands 2.
Good review. I loved the original game and this one just goes into orbit. Especially some of the new grenades which are worth mentioning.
One type missing though (so far) is the proximity grenade. Spent many happy fun-filled hours setting proximity grenade traps on a skag hunt. Never got old! :-)
Not managed to raise the cash for a Vita yet but if Sony can see the light and port Borderlands2 onto it.....well it's going to be bank robbing time lol
Is it really any different to, lets say, digitally remastering a Beatles album that was produced several decades ago?
Fans of the Beatles dont suddenly stop being fans and get to enjoy a track or album thats a greatly enhanced product.
I 'm one of the many Killzone fans wanting and hoping the original Killzone PS2 game would get the HD remastering treatment. As a game, it certainly has enough about it to be worth the effort and should prove a good 'play' to those who never got to try it.
Its an interesting insight into just what's required to make it happen.
Agree totally. Zero's ability (to run away lol) has dug me out of some tight corners so far!
Bit of a slow starter for me (as was BL1) but its really hotting up now.
Is there no end to this Pandoran madness...won't anyone think of the children! ? Bring it on Gearbox lol
