Great price for the highest rated racing game of 2014, 86 on metacritic, nothing else even comes close.
That is to say a racing game with photo realistic graphics and licensed cars.
Congrats X1 on being the best media player, mission accomplished, living room owned.
Add that to having delivered some of the best AAA games this year ( best racers = FH2, F5, best FPS = TF, TMCC, best open world shooter = SSO, best fighter = KI) and you have a very happy fan base.
Those updates and continuous improvements from MS have, like the 360, resulted in a console that is even more capable then when first released.

It also runs at 1080p 60fps, something unheard of in a next gen racer, even after 1 year.
And, along with Forza Horizon 2, they are two of the highest scoring racers of the next gen consoles.

The X1 definitely has momentum
It outsold the 360 having launched in about 1/3 of the 360's launch Countries.
Now that the X1 is available in 42 Countries (as of September), we already saw MS report a 102% increase in sales for the quarter ending September. The quarter ending in December will be even better.

Note that the 360 launched in 36 Countries and the X1 in 13.
So sales have picked up since September when X1 add 29 more Countries.
Sales from September on will be more of an apples to apples comparison with 360.

Well over 5.1m X1 sales just in the US, even with that higher price for 7 months, now less than 15% separates the top consoles in an apples to apples comparison, well done.
5 of the top 10 games are xbox as well, good job with the smaller install base.
