It already has
It worked in 2013
It worked in 2014
It will working 2015
"Now, you could do a… like Burnout, right? A 'collision simulator'. What's it like to hit a wall at 250 miles per hour and see a car completely obliterated. And that would cause licening problems. I don't believe you could actually license that from many manufacturers at all."
I think that quote answers what the title is asking.
I really like playing in full sim mode, but a crash ends your race...
Of course a crash a...
They've taken the game back to it's roots:
exploration
stealth
FUN
Looking forward to playing it this holiday
Turn off the assists in the options
Can't say anybody would be surprised.
Hats off to The Coalition on a great job.
Definitely some great new IPs
Titan fall might still be the highest rated FPS
and Forza Horizon I believe is still the highest rated realistic racing game.
And MS owned Bungie

That is an excellent comment
best part thought...
If you read it again the comment could easily and equally be applied to resolution
It didn't.
It's still the highest scoring exclusive released this week.
Not sure the game play of those 2 games is comparable.
A better example of something close to Gears, almost a tribute really, would be The Order 1886.
That is, as you say, only 19 points below Gears Ultimate.
Currently there are 17 scores higher than 90, quite impressive for a 9 year old game.
If you would like to make disparaging comments on games that came out this week (and your SHORT comment history shows you do), I suggest going to articles like Until Dawn (just 2 scores above 90) or Submerged.
This Halo is not out, nor has it been scored.
Funny you talk about stuck in the past, Destiny is just a halo wannabe, right down to the floating guardian.
Halo 5 will feature 24 payer mode with Covenant and Forerunner enemies.
"This is my opinion so deal with it."
I have some news for you..
Anyone can check your comment history.
And nothing about yours says anything that would lead ...
"Is this a lot of bang for your buck? Absolutely, and those who pride themselves on being fans of the series should be excited. However, all this new content doesn’t alter the foundation of how the title plays, and in some cases it even exacerbates it. Gears of War set a standard for third-person shooters, but having that in mind, those who attempt to get into it now will quickly realize how far the industry has evolved past it."
I agree it's an incredible value...
Well it's good to know the manufactures made big revenue last year:
That's an interesting graph; looks like X1 is doing about 25% better than 360, meaning everyone is gaining market share (except Nintendo, hopefully the new console will rectify this).
Surprised there isn't a bigger disparity than just 8m to 5m, considering one is in 124 Countries and the other in just 42?
Either way it's good news, although "profit" ...
Perhaps you would consider substantiating you claim with an ON TOPIC view about the 8 minutes of gameplay above?
Anyone can make unfounded troll comments.
I personally liked the looks of the gameplay, and I took part in the beta.
Lets check your theory though:
Metacritic scores
Destiny...76
Halo 4...87
Actually, the lowest scoring halo games score better than Destiny
"It’s easy to see why The Coalition chose to focus on revamping a single Gears of War title as compared to remastering the entire trilogy plus Judgment. Along with focusing more on a single core experience that helped define the series, it allowed the developer to pour a larger sum of resources into improving every single graphical aspect. The result in Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is excellent. If nothing else, it perfectly encapsulates that “feeling” of war that the original embodied...
I expect to see both PC and X1 getting more shared games and betas in the near future as they're both going to be DX12 and will have cross-play.
Now let's help find the bugs on BO3
That's some high praise indeed, from both you and the author.
Game is being received really well.
Out of 52 reviews, 47 are 80 or higher.
Good list
The picture says it all.
I'll be playing 4 of them.
Good to here
can't wait to get actual games built for DX12
I highly suspect many of the new features will be included in future development kits:
-Cloud Compute
-Tiled Resources
-ESRAM efficiency
-etc
A lot of cool features:
-Hydroplaning through puddles
-track temperature effects traction
-24 cars on track
-and Forza's incredible customization ability, looks and performance
Turn10 has done a great job
