I get the feeling these reviewers don't really like playing older style games these days, hence the average ish scores. Same happened with the Asha Wonderboy game, some gave the game good scores and some gave around average.

IMO if you still like the original games you will probably like this too, though i guess that might go without saying anyway

I thought it was a decent game for the time. The remake/remaster is probably more tight with the controls and will be better for it.

It would be nice if they started giving us games we actually want instead of rehashing the same stuff all the time, but at least there were a couple of fun games like Warioware and Mario Party shown recently, where's Pilotwings and Starfox?

Switch 2 needs to be released next year.

This will just end up in pointless arguments tbh. Differing tastes etc. I personally liked Mario Party and Wario Ware because they look pretty fun, most of the other stuff is just same as the usual releases from Nintendo. Still no Pilotwings or Starfox.

Never played GTA online but even the SA-MP PC mod consistently had near and over 100 players in many of the servers for years since launch, that was like 2005 to 2015 at least before less people started playing it. Modders seemed to do fairly well with San Andreas multiplayer without any of R*'s help.

The game was designed more for future hardware. You can probably play with settings to get better performance though. At least it's not a game that demands you have silky smooth 80-90+FPS like shooters or a racing game. This doesn't really interest me as I'd quickly get bored of it, so i have no problems with it.

B4B is probably the closest to L4D2 in that list. Even then it's not 100% a L4D2 clone. In L4D2 you could shove and temporarily stun specials, in this game i don't think you can do that given the size of most of them. You can do it to common hordes but to lesser effect than in L4D2.

The game is a bit different mechanically to L4D2. It seems to be more suited to shooting over melee, whereas in L4D2 it was kind of a mix of both. In B4B you have to take care of the pro...

I liked a couple of things they showed, nothing else. Mario Party stuff looked good but it's not even DLC for the current game. I bet Wario Ware will be a short game, same for tennis.

Nintendo are getting really lazy, it's like they do the bare minimum content wise then charge full price for it.

Nintendo are so lazy now that i wouldn't be surprised if this is a really short game, and probably not even a cheap game.

just what we need, another porn game..

1727d ago 0 agree18 disagreeView comment

Those are minimum requirements, i honestly would not expect much out of a 1060 in a game looking as good as that.

I try to go at least at recommended and even above that if you want to hold high frame rates.

To add to the above:

In the L4D console versions they cut the zombie count to make the game easier since players use controllers, in this game they slowed the pace but kept the same zombie count (hence crossplay) is how it looks to me.

One of the devs basically admitted the automatic flashlight will only be active on levels selected by a card to be dark, basically it seems mostly because the controller wouldn't have enough buttons for all the actions, but that wasn't their full excuse, they said it was also because there wasn't a need for a manual flashlight as there's no zombies that react to it.

It's also slower paced than L4D.

Safe to assume it is consolized even ...

1728d ago 1 agree6 disagreeView comment

Cautiously optimistic on this, though the game has definitely been consolized a bit unfortunately.

Cross platform play has apparently been confirmed, I'm not really sure about this as i now think the game may be dumbed down difficulty wise for PC players using keyboard and mouse. Plus it would explain the flashlight thing.

Oh well I'll see how it goes.

It's pretty sad if you have to rely on other peoples reviews to enjoy a game tbh.. each to their own, i don't like Pokemon but it's usually highly rated or popular.. meh

The Alpha left me wanting. And the automatic flashlight that i heard about tells me there won't be any dim/dark areas in the game unless the level loads night time mode. This IMO is a really stupid decision and it makes me think the game is consolized somewhat, probably because there's not enough buttons on a controller for everything if they had a manual flashlight.

Would've been nice if they made newer games in the original first 2's style.

1735d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

I'm not sure it would. If it's a New 3DS style upgrade then i can't see it. Adding slightly more power that hardly anything would take advantage of (and be mostly pointless) is hardly worth releasing.

If it were a large jump like most graphics cards are on PC then it would be worth it for sure. I doubt it with Nintendo though and the form factor limitation, unless they can do something new and great with the dock to enable a large boost.

Seems a dumb question.. Depends on the content, i wouldn't be too happy if i could beat the whole game in 1 hour, it would need a lot of content if it's a full price game.
