The game could still be very fun regardless of what i said. I'll see how the beta goes.
Something about this still feels kind of off. For a game that's similar (ish) to L4D it doesn't appear to be doing a whole lot of new things. It's like they took the perks from KF and put them in this game as cards and then just took some of L4D and threw that in too.

Obviously it's a PC, he's saying he wants it exclusive to this device which is not the same thing.
They should go all out on a release of Half Life like they usually have on PC, not watered down for console or a lower power device first.
The console versions apparently had a lot of issues and ran worse than at launch (2004) on PC. Played it lots in 2004 and upgraded my PC just for it. Then HL2 DM came and Steam started getting even bigger. The multiplayer was pretty fun too even if a tad basic, but it brought along Garry's Mod soon after too.
Aren't they the same people who made dead island? those games sucked ass, back 4 blood is the only contender.. And S&box, i got a feeling back 4 blood is gonna bomb tho, no pvp campaign mode and content locked behind paywalls.

That would suck, Half Life has always been PC first so it should release there before anything else.
With the new patch on PC you'll be getting 50-60FPS with decent hardware, if you want a better experience you'll need a good PC.
This kind of game for me would get boring quickly regardless, so it's not much in my interest other than for screwing around if i ever did play it.
If you played the alpha you get automatic access to the closed beta and open beta anyway

False, as StoneyYoshi said you can get near 60FPS now even with a low-end GPU and a mid-end CPU thanks to the optimisation update.
It will be way better than Gmod, the graphics/physics alone seem to be much better.
Can't wait for this. This is gonna be extreme fun when we have zombie survival, prop hunt and all the other fun modes that made Gmod great. This is #1 on my list, B4B is #2 and may go off my list if the upcoming beta is meh.

And now that devs don't have to make games for 2 separate machines, you'd expect more games & more content at the same time. Nintendo are really milking it.
The only thing that has my full attention for pure multiplayer fun is S&box and possibly Back 4 Blood if the beta is good. But this seems a little meh
