I remember some of my MSN and Worms 2 online buds in 99/2000 raving about Age of Empires, i never played it but looking at it now i think I'd probably enjoy it.
The only ones who don't want it is probably because PC would be 90+% likely to have the superior versions.
Either way I don't care as I have both console and a powerful PC, I usually use my PC way more anyway since it can do many more things than just gaming.
The usual complaint from console fanboys is that PC is expensive, so they prefer buying a cheaper console yet they pay online fees and have more expensive games.
So if we have console lovers who find it much cheaper they can stick with it and it's not a problem, why would PC versions cannibalize sales then?
Funny how the goalposts always shift.
I mean, I'll always have a good spec PC since it'll give better performance than any console.
Plus PC can do a ton more things a console simply can't.
If lazy careless parents didn't let their kid watch/play anything then this probably wouldn't happen in the first place.
Mature anime has older age ratings for a reason, much of it is practically soft core.
The issue with 50Hz was mostly the devs fault for not changing game speed, so most games ended up slower.
It was only when Dreamcast arrived that we got a choice of 50 or 60Hz which solved the issue completely, or if you played on handheld or PC.
I can smell the jealousy already.
Uncapped frame rate so super smooth 90-100+fps should not be too much of a problem with a high end GPU.
Anime is different tho, most already know it can be pretty perverted and mostly not for kids.
8k would be junk for anything with faster motion for many years yet, and the screens would be 60Hz not 144+.
VC is too punishing and fast? What nonsense is this? They even noobified the games now by letting you restart a mission as soon as you fail.
I could've done with some more missions for VC actually, and some were challenging sure.. but that's what makes the game fun. San Andreas had way more missions than VC, VC only had like 50 odd but was still a fun game.
Guess people only now caught up, i was never very fond of GTA 3 to begin with. It's kinda ass even compared to VC.
The PC version will be best if the SA-MP modders pick this up to add online multiplayer. Was amazingly fun back in 2005 with tons of players. Tho today I'm not sure it would attract as many people.
Might pick it up on console if cheap enough. Full remakes would've been more welcome tho.
Be interesting to see if the modders who picked up SA-MP use this version for the online multiplayer mod.
VCS is certainly great, LCS is good too, at least better than GTA 3 IMO anyway.
Not everyone is gonna like something that others like, i think pokemon sucks ass and custom robo arena is way better, many would beg to differ but it won't change my opinion.
Unfortunately most are sheep and just go with what gets high scores, regardless if they're gonna like the game or not.
Funny thing to say seeing as the 3080 must be at least 30-40% more powerful than even the Xbox Series X.
4080 later next year will likely extend that lead to at least 80+%.
Ultra widescreen monitors have even higher response times than 4k high refresh screens. You don't go by what's on the box.. look @ reviews. Not everyone likes them. For FPS & quicker paced games smaller 24 or 27" screens with high pixel density and fast pixel response with high refresh are best.
I'd be surprised if Valve don't give people what they want, a shiny new L4D that's long been needed.
Ever since those plantation screenshots running on Source 2 (which turned out to be genuine) leaked back in 2014, L4D2 has looked pretty dated to me. I understand the screenshots turned out to be a demo with Valve testing out Source 2, but all this time later and still nothing.
Ouch, 90-100+fps is a pretty big deal, games and everything in general on PC is much better with a high refresh and frame rate.
