I might try GP on PC since new users can pay £1 or whatever, just so I can see what the full game of B4B is like.

I think for me tho S&box will likely outclass it in terms of pure replayability, support (devs said 10-20 yr support) and fun given it will have many game modes.

SA on PC was great fun early on, thousands of players played the SA-MP mod for many years and was so active, servers were always really busy. After I finished the story on SP the multiplayer was my go to game for screwing around. That and Garry's mod.

So glad Garry's mod successor S&box is imminent on Source 2.

Even 2005 San Andreas had an online MP mod made by the community and was very active, if these games are a lazy rehash I won't be buying. Probably be similar to what was done with Quake, but at least that actually had new things in it like online co-op.

None issue for those who self build or know what they're doing.

Looks like you need a decent PC for this, it's not too much an issue if you have up to date hardware. But it seems it needs optimisation given the frame rates even on a 3080 GPU.

Used to play this on the zsnes emulator with my friend online back in the early 2000's, fun game.

The original Majora's mask was not 661MB, that's the 3DS version.

I always thought GTA 3 was the weakest of them all, to be honest at the time i played it on PC and performance wasn't all that great, the game was lacking what made VC and SA fun and the vehicles speeds and stuff felt like ass. It just felt a bit dull overall.

I played VC and SA on Xbox, then sometime in 2005 i got SA on PC for the multiplayer mod which i played the hell out of and it was really damn popular for years, so much fun. Which reminds me, i still have recordi...

The "looking better" thing has kind of gotten a bit less so recently, but they still do yes. PC is more about the frame rate these days. However next gen GPUs later next year will probably pull away quite a lot from the new consoles.

3000 series Nvidia cards are already quite powerful but the next cards are rumoured to be a big leap. Later next year.

A lot of people crapped on DNF but the game worked, the problem was that it didn't feel much different to say Doom 3 which released in 2004. The only issue i had with it is that some graphics looked a bit patchy like shadows, and the AI was kinda screwy in places, otherwise somewhat enjoyable for the time.

The difference here is that the games are purposely watered down with no effort, pure laziness on EA's part, pretty sure i read that even the first version could&...

To me it depends how much different the remasters look, or if they've added new side stuff that doesn't change the main story etc. If the games look hardly any different then i probably won't even bother.

Though i still think the 2 stories games were better and more fun than 3. VC and SA were great at the time. I played SA the most, especially online with the multiplayer mod that had thousands of players for years.

5950x is pure waste for gaming alone. Also the first ryzen chips didn't start getting good for gaming vs Intel until the 3xxx chips and then 5xxx. Earlier ryzens just had high latency.

I don't get why some get the most cores when there's no need to. You can get a 5600x or 5800x cheaper that will play games fine, but Intel has better price/performance right now.

If gaming you want core performance, not more of them that will hardly be used, so...

If you've ever experienced 90-100+fps on an appropriate display you would see 60fps as a bit choppy, at least in quicker paced games.

8k is a while away, even high end PCs can't do 90+fps in some demanding games today at 4k. Some years for graphics power to drive 8k 60 in anything remotely demanding. Even then I would not buy an 8k 60Hz display.

Seems an odd thing to add, anyone into this stuff will likely have a decent PC for doing it. Same as video editing etc.. so basically any decent gaming rig.

Well the system was kinda dated when it came out, IMO cartoony colourful (and well running) games that don't push it too hard are better suited to this system, even then it's still lacking power.

The game looks nice. Would be cool if it's quite challenging but I'm not sure it will be

Not sure I'll get this, i think S&box will have tons more longevity and fun, i might pick this one up on discount sometime but maybe not right away.

there's like a 4ms difference between 160hz and your 360hz screen dude, you should've gone 1440p or 4k high hz. https://www.unitjuggler.com...

after getting used to high hz 60fps looks kinda a little laggy tbh. but locked 60 better than nothing i guess.

I always thought these kinda games look like simplistic button mashers. Doesn't really interest me.

I think the new Mario Party and S&box (PC) will be way more fun. And S&box uses Source 2, gonna be amazing for multiplayer.
