If the Switch is going to be their only console from now on, they need to upgrade it every 4 or so years to keep up. Or alternatively like you said, they need extra hardware in the dock which would solve that if they can do it properly.
Well some people use their PC for much more than just gaming so..
And some prefer KB & Mouse as it's superior to a controller, especially for FPS & strategy / management games etc.
But according to people here only PC games have cheaters 🙄
If they are going to stick with the Switch they should release a new one every 4 years if they want to keep up with hardware improvements. And the dock needs to have separate hardware to boost the power.
Expect the Switch 2 to have lesser specs than expected then because they like to do the minimum there is.
What they gonna do now? Do a new Rollercoaster Tycoon and half ass another one?
This is pretty much nonsense, in terms of value at the moment sure. In terms of performance? Nope
I hope you didn't buy a 5950x just for gaming as that would be really pointless. IPC will be 30-40% better than current chips in newer CPUs within just 2 years from now. Better off going for 6-8 cores and upgrading then.
I liked that Streets of Rage style game mode as well. It had more stuff to do if you got bored of the normal modes.
30fps is 33ms, 60 is 16.7 and 120 is 8. So the extra smoothness is noticeable for sure.
It plays differently to L4D, in L4D you could shove stun most of the specials, I don't think you can do that here.
The game will feel somewhat similar to L4D but anyone expecting an exact copy of L4D2 with newer stuff will be disappointed IMO.
Yeah anyone using a 3080 card and a CPU better than a 9700k will get even better performance. That's an impressive upgrade for a game like this, looks like It's pretty well optimized now.
The first Zen chips were a bit sucky for gaming compared to Intel. I mean i have a Ryzen chip starting with 3700x and now 5800x but they were still behind Intel with the 3xxx series just maybe not as much.
The 8700k was around almost 2 years before the 3xxx chips came out and was still faster than them in games. It took AMD a while to catch up to Intel,
Wouldn't be surprised if RTX 4000 series starts at £750, i was lucky to get a 3080 for 650 but that MSRP was BS as there's no AIB cards anywhere near that now

Already have a 960GB 905p optane drive which has insane 4k (small file) IOPS for loading games etc
Yeah i liked SA, SA2 was really good. Heroes was kinda meh..
They need to go back to the SA2 formula and enhance that playstyle. Sonic has had plenty of great 2D games but i think SA2 proved they can make a really good 3D game, you would have thought by now they would've nailed it.
Seems an unusual crossover, but if it works then why not i guess?
This is how Apple stays in business, sell overpriced hardware to noobs. Meanwhile others who know their stuff either buy prebuilt Windows PCs or build their own.
Nintendo / Apple similar practices.
